Nothing,as you probably well know,could be further from the truth.The troubles were imported,externally and stoked up internally. If you pick a fight you can expect to get hurt and in war those incidents can be brutal hence the need for war crimes trials, but not the kind that have taken place which,incidentally, have been a joke. There were hundreds of incidents during those conflicts where Serbians were massacred (war crimes also) in the same senseless manner. It seems to me that you and others of your ilk think they were somehow supporting the "innocents" when the reality is that if the same kind of weaponry that Serbians had in their possession had been in your favored side's possession the casualties would probably been even greater. You are not in the least objective and most certainly many of your "links" are not either.

There are lots of versions of religion. If nations depend for their identity upon some choice of factional religious organisation, we will always have wars.

Under one God, we have Serbia choosing eastern orthodox, Croatia choosing Roman, and so many more caught up in the cult of Islam. Weird and ironic given that each supposedly is the correct view of religion. And it is disgusting the way in which religiously based cultural differences fed the hatred in the recent balkan wars.

Actually, Serbia contains a few Pentecostals, a few JW's, and probably many other 'persuasions'. These, like the Eastern Orthodox, are all misplaced in their thinking, given the certain nonexistence of this God they all purport to worship in their variously confused ways. Serbia also contains atheists who may tolerate the quaint traditions of Eastern Orthodoxy, but actually have little regard (and a degree of dislike) for the men in silly hats. Nikolic should be seen to represent all of these rather than just keep concentrating over much on orthodoxy.

Rulers love religion. It is a way of keeping the people in order. Putin has a really posh set of churches that I am sure he is very happy with.
