I dont know about you but I wake up everyday here in beautiful Gjakova and I feel pretty damn free. No serb police, no serb army, no serb officials. I have a passport from the republic of kosova. I travel as a kosovar and even in serbia they accept my ID of the republic of kosova when I cross the border from Kosova to Serbia. Kosovo is already signing int. binding contracts with other states, we have a parliament, police, army etc. I dont even know what marku gjuriq is talking about.

I can tell you this even if Serbia streets were paved in Gold, no Albanian will want reunification ( sure there can be a minority lets say 2 to 3%). Its tough in Kosovo sure but no way will someone want Serbia back, better be poor in your house than a slave in Rich man's house.

Direct recognition will come when Serbia is ready to join EU. By then we will forget who Djuric is/was. When that time comes there will be more moderate serbs in politics.

Kosova was never Serbian territory. It was occupied by Serbia. Albanians have been an majority in Kosova for as long as we can resmember and that tells us who the land belongs to. Nothing to debate about. 111 countrys recognize that.

111 countrys dosent recognize Serbian state dreams. Serbia can only dream about Kosova. IT was an serbian myth.

I think if Serbia can find a way to grow economically and deal with internal corruption, Albanians will in a few years time be more open to reintegration. Albanians who are not involved with the ruling criminal clans are living worse now than they ever did when Serbia had full control over all of its territory. That is why over 100,000 Albanians took very extreme measures to leave in 2015. Some will say but wait, kosovo is "newborn" so give it time. But fact is that billions of dollars have flooded Kosovo-Metohija since the end of the war all going towards building something that resembles a state and it's led to nothing but disaster.

But Serbia has to get stronger. People respond positively to strength. Once there is more that Serbia can offer Albanians, many will find courage to stand up and say this NATO protectorate 'ThaciKurtistan' is a failure and only reintegration will lead to a better life for Albanians.

Regardless of what you say that KLA ... was the reason, I lived it, tear gas in school & poison where ppl started putting foam from their mouth, massacres in our town, police hour, being kicked out of my home/land that has been in my family for more than 300 years. Its a deep scar that will never heal, in a city of 100,000 there were 7000 Serbs till 1995 then increased to 12,000 after Serb refugees came from Croatia - all Directors, Mayor, Head of police, any position with any meaning were Serbs. I see people here say that Serbs are stubborn, so are we and reality is that we do not want to live oppressed and nothing Serbia has done tells me you changed. Vucic+Dacic+Nikolic are still in power same people from 1998; Vucic closed newspaper in Kosovo...

So please tell me how will this happen without force, as we know the using force option we still can taste it.

You are dreaming !,Serb got the bulk of the money for infrastructure from eg Roads and Highway's come from CHINA majority money and loans.
Railway infrastructure from mainly Russia,and some from China .
Belgrade on Water project ,farming projects(especially in Vojvodina), and the huge loan that was from USA in Dollars (Tadic period 2008 loan at 6 %),is refinance at 0% with UAE,YES UAE, not EU.
Yes alot of foreign companies that have open business and factories are from EU,but they want cheap NON EU LABOUR !.
So if EU ,and USA give you scraps of their budget, but so do China ,Russia,AUE(big scraps), Japan,South Korea,Iran,Switzerland etc,Non EU and Western managed country's give as well.

You might not recognize it yet but I am absolutely confident in the near future you will have to, there is no place in Europe for you otherwise its as simple as that. Politicians say only the normalisation of relations is enough but wait and see. They are just playing a smart game, one step at a time to prevent a public outcry.

Very often here some others say life was much better in Yugo times. Maybe that is true and certainly these days Kosova is not doing as well as it should be doing, it has some major struggles and a lot of work to do but that is only normal for a country in its initial stages of statehood.

If the EU would allow the unification with Albania, they would have to admit that their glorious project of an independent, multi-ethnic, democratic Kosovo has miserably failed. The idea itself was good and honarable, but everyone with some Balkan experience knew it wouldn't work out. So we all know it has failed, Kosovo nowadays is a mafia state with massive ethnic discrimination and corruption, but it's always hard to admit a mistake.

A unification of southern Kosovo with Albania, while northern Kosovo stays part of Serbia, together with an UN special protection guarantee for the Serb cultural heritage within southern Kosovo would have been a better solution. But now, after almost 20 years, it's too late for that.

How many serbs filled the emigration camps in Germany? Greeks have almost 200 years running their own country, but look at them now. the outskirts of Athens are full of tin houses where greeks live like in 3rd worlds countries. The south europeans have invaded the northern Europe. Rome wasn't build in one day and certainly it won't get any better before it gets worse. Ivan, I agree. The mere belief doesn't necessarily make it true. And your belief is deep seated. We (in Albania) during communist era believed to be the greatest country on earth, especially the kids. Most of the adults not so much but still they couldn't go against it because there was consequences. Although what we all were sure about was that Albania was a fortress and in truth it was, because we were 3 million people and we had 3 million soldiers, we had a very good army and people were more united then we are today.

What I am trying to say is that propaganda works. Just like it worked with us in communism, just like it worked with you especially during miloshevic era, and just like it works with ISIS.

Although I believe that probably a lot of serbs already know Kosova is gone for good, but the problem remains with the rest of serbs who still believe the opposite, and in order to move forward as a nation you've got to let some things go. It's going to take time for the serbs to face the truth and if Vucic shows up on tv and says Kosova is gone for good then he knows he's not going to be in power after the next elections.

However, if it were me, I'd much rather stare at the face of the truth no matter how painful it may be and move forward, then choosing to be pulled back by a mere belief, which in return it just prolongs the pain because "Kosova is Serbia" would exist only in your mind.

Sasa, I scan all regional pappers not only the serbian ones because I am interested in whats going on in the region. As for having nothing to do with Kosova, would be the same as I would say you have nothing to do with serbs living in Kosova. Then you must be as much of a hypocrite as I am!

You may need to go back to serbia to raise a family but I dont need to go back home to albania to raise a family, because I can raise a family wherever I am living in and this way at least for the time being i can help my family and my country by sending the rest of my money back in albanian banks. the reason I said i am going back to albania when i retire or before was to prove a point from your previous comment which you obviously didnt get!

I have Australia, and British Passport, but want to help MY people by creating job's, which ,I did!.
I have family and friends from Pec city ,in Kosovo. Which I visit once a month during Spring to Autumn. So ,I am in Kosovo, and know what is the situation ,especially in Pec.Thank God their are alot of Shqipire's Catholics living around Pec and Italian and Spanish NATO troop's,which don't like MUSSI, get my drift. I have either British or Australian passport to travel to PEC!.Get my drift.
Why not create job's for family members in Albania, by investing ,then just handing them money,so they spend it only and don't use it wisely!.

I am actually from Albania, and yes, I am sitting in a western country, but it doesn't necessarily mean that I have to sell my house and everything else I own in Albania just because I don't permanently live there anymore. I want you to tell the police that they are just a dream and then you can meet our beautiful Mayor and tell her she`s a dream too. After that we can go to the border with Albania and you can tell Kosovo Borderofficers that they are a dream too. And last but not least I can set up a meeting with the families of over 600 massacred civilians and you can tell them that what they witnessed was only a dream too. Through history Serbs have believed Kosovo to be a part of Serbia, the writing is on the walls, in the scripture and the struggle was handed down by word of mouth.
now what do we have, a few Albanians learning politics and trying to be cunning like a fox. You can yell all you like, hold up a book that says kosova, any measure thinkable or unthinkable, but to convince a Serb that Kosovo is not Serbian you will have to wait a very long time.

Every normal child knows who its mother is, for Serbs it is Kosovo and our father is vojvodina.

The only way in history for this to be different is if Nikola Tesla stayed in serbia(then Yugoslavia).

Every one posting about Kosovo should understand one thing, Serbia isn't saving Kosovo from Kalbs, its being saved from the Serb politicians.

But Serbia has to get stronger. People respond positively to strength. Once there is more that Serbia can offer Albanians, many will find courage to stand up and say this NATO protectorate 'ThaciKurtistan' is a failure and only reintegration will lead to a better life for Albanians.

I dont know about you but I wake up everyday here in beautiful Gjakova and I feel pretty damn free. No serb police, no serb army, no serb officials. I have a passport from the republic of kosova. I travel as a kosovar and even in serbia they accept my ID of the republic of kosova when I cross the border from Kosova to Serbia. Kosovo is already signing int. binding contracts with other states, we have a parliament, police, army etc. I dont even know what marku gjuriq is talking about.

If the EU would allow the unification with Albania, they would have to admit that their glorious project of an independent, multi-ethnic, democratic Kosovo has miserably failed. The idea itself was good and honarable, but everyone with some Balkan experience knew it wouldn't work out. So we all know it has failed, Kosovo nowadays is a mafia state with massive ethnic discrimination and corruption, but it's always hard to admit a mistake.

A unification of southern Kosovo with Albania, while northern Kosovo stays part of Serbia, together with an UN special protection guarantee for the Serb cultural heritage within southern Kosovo would have been a better solution. But now, after almost 20 years, it's too late for that.

Although I believe that probably a lot of serbs already know Kosova is gone for good, but the problem remains with the rest of serbs who still believe the opposite, and in order to move forward as a nation you've got to let some things go. It's going to take time for the serbs to face the truth and if Vucic shows up on tv and says Kosova is gone for good then he knows he's not going to be in power after the next elections.

Second, if somebody were to offer a bus for free, I would not hesitate to take that bus, too. I couldn't care less what is the ethnicity of the bus driver - it's free travel :)

Only natural that you cannot argue about what I said and you start to insult. I didnt exept anything else. Well if I`m dreaming then come and visit me in Gjakova and prove me wrong. I want you to tell the police that they are just a dream and then you can meet our beautiful Mayor and tell her she`s a dream too. After that we can go to the border with Albania and you can tell Kosovo Borderofficers that they are a dream too. And last but not least I can set up a meeting with the families of over 600 massacred civilians and you can tell them that what they witnessed was only a dream too. I am actually from Albania, and yes, I am sitting in a western country, but it doesn't necessarily mean that I have to sell my house and everything else I own in Albania just because I don't permanently live there anymore. But what I know for sure is that that's where I am going to retire, if not before. However, that wasn't my point in my previous comment.

I have investment's in Serbia.
I have Australia, and British Passport, but want to help MY people by creating job's, which ,I did!.
I have family and friends from Pec city ,in Kosovo. Which I visit once a month during Spring to Autumn. So ,I am in Kosovo, and know what is the situation ,especially in Pec.Thank God their are alot of Shqipire's Catholics living around Pec and Italian and Spanish NATO troop's,which don't like MUSSI, get my drift. I have either British or Australian passport to travel to PEC!.Get my drift.
Why not create job's for family members in Albania, by investing ,then just handing them money,so they spend it only and don't use it wisely!.
P'S I visit Durres ,Albania alest twice a year.It's not far from Pec

For the advice, I have Australia- Shqipire's as very good friends, and friends in Durres,and Pec ,that are Shqipire. Ivan, I agree. The mere belief doesn't necessarily make it true. And your belief is deep seated. We (in Albania) during communist era believed to be the greatest country on earth, especially the kids. Most of the adults not so much but still they couldn't go against it because there was consequences. Although what we all were sure about was that Albania was a fortress and in truth it was, because we were 3 million people and we had 3 million soldiers, we had a very good army and people were more united then we are today.

What I am trying to say is that propaganda works. Just like it worked with us in communism, just like it worked with you especially during miloshevic era, and just like it works with ISIS.

Although I believe that probably a lot of serbs already know Kosova is gone for good, but the problem remains with the rest of serbs who still believe the opposite, and in order to move forward as a nation you've got to let some things go. It's going to take time for the serbs to face the truth and if Vucic shows up on tv and says Kosova is gone for good then he knows he's not going to be in power after the next elections.

However, if it were me, I'd much rather stare at the face of the truth no matter how painful it may be and move forward, then choosing to be pulled back by a mere belief, which in return it just prolongs the pain because "Kosova is Serbia" would exist only in your mind.

The Serbian Benny Hill brigade is out in force again. Just today there is an article on this very site, stating that due to corruption in Serbia, 145 million euro simply vanished, but the violins are still in full force.

I would have never thought, that I would be saying this one day and literarely mean it, but I must say I really for sorry for you Serbs. It looks like you wont be seeing sunshine for a long time. You will be pushed back into a corner until we have Greater Albania and be leader of the Balkans.

You dont seem to be learning. Instead of saying our last leader was evil, therefore we grant Kosovo its independence and open up a new chapter, you isolate yourselves even further into that corner, putting all your last hope onto Putin. Which is not smart, because Putin himself is very isolated and has long passed the peak of his power. It wont be much longer until there is a revolution in Russia. With every year there are thousands and thousands more protesting in Russia.

Soon you will have no friends. Why not trying to be friends with your neighbors. When an Albanian gives you his word, his Besa, he will not break it, no matter who he gives it to, Serb or whoever.

And understand that Albanians never try to steal land from anyone or invade any countries. We will only take whats ours, land that we had 3000 years ago, land where Albanians lived and still live today: Parts of Montenegro, Almost half of Macedonia, 1/5 of Greece which is Cameria. Like u did, also the Greeks soon will have the learn this lesson the hard way.

Appart from that, if you guys would change, accept reality, Im sure we could become friends, respect and help each other in many ways.
