Now that Vucic and Nikolic are prepared to sell-out while Albanians are obedient little suckers, the US only has to gain.

(Jugoslavija, 9 March 2016 21:56)

Of course, like Nazi Serbs, Nazi Croats, Nazi French, Nazi [insert ethnicity here]... Nazis of any ethnicity were part of the Hitlers Axis of Evil.

Reading through both the articles and the comments sections on this news site over the years, I am struck yet amused by some of the bizarre comments that Albanian visitors to the news site make.

Recently, the most odd comments from these trolls has centred on the The Community of Serbian Municipalities and the Special Court into KLA War Crimes not been set up. I believe that these ramblings made by these keyboard warriors were inspired by the violence and antics of the ethnic Albanian opposition parties in Kosovo and Metohija.

The Community of Serbian Municipalities was debated and agreed upon by both the Belgrade and Pristina delegations under European Union auspices, as well as being strongly backed by the International Community including both the United Nations, Russia and the United States, and therefore will be implemented.

The continuing disgraceful scenes that keep on emanating from the ethnic Albanian inhabited areas of the province of Kosovo and Metohija will not alter the reality of it’s implementation. Democracy is a debate of ideas, not violence both within and outside of a Parliamentary Chamber.

My concern therefore lies in what violent scenes and consequently what violence will be directed towards non-Albanians, moderate Albanians and indeed the International Community once the Special Court into KLA War Crimes finds it’s accused members guilty or complicit in murder, rape, organ trading and crimes against humanity among other charges.

Well, even Hitler was against Jews. The same! And Serbs contribute in extermination of innocent Jews in that time, and you have the choice to do it again against innocent muslims.

It bears repeating that Nazi Albanians were part of the Hitlers Axis of Evil and declared war on the United States of America.

December 14 Croatia declares war on the United States of America.
December 15 Egypt breaks diplomatic relations with Hungary and Romania.
December 16 Czechoslovakia declares war on all countries at war with the United States of America, Great Britain and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
December 17 Albania declares war on the United States of America.
http://worldatwar.net/timeline/other/diplomacy39-45.html

The Italian army reported that Albanians were "hunting down Serbs," and that the "Serbian minority are living in conditions that are truly disgraceful, constantly harassed by the brutality of the Albanians, who are whipping up racial hatred."Carlo Umiltà described some of the atrocities in his memoirs and observed that "the Albanians are out to exterminate the Slavs. German diplomat Hermann Neubacher, the Third Reich’s representative for southeastern Europe reported that: "Shiptars [i.e., Kosovo Albanians] were in a hurry to expel as many Serbs as possible from the country."[9]

What I expect Zoran is for people to do the right thing irrespective of what others might do or not. This doesn't just apply to Kosovo and war crimes but across the spectrum. I expect rich people not to begrudge the taxes that they pay and for big corporations to pay their share rather than avoid tax altogether. I expect men not to cheat on their wives and vice versa. I expect parents to set a good example to their children. Ultimately, I know that this is pie in the sky and that people will do what the hell they like whenever they like and the world will keep going down the plughole. Set yourself standards and then keep to them regardless of what others do. You may lose out in the short term but you'll sleep better and receive your reward elsewhere.

It is sad that this man doesn't think that there is any other valid reason for establishing this court.
(ned taylor, 9 March 2016 13:02)
--
Indeed it is sad but what do you expect when the nations leading this world have set the example. Rather than putting it aside and addressing war crimes by their "moderate" terrorists and home grown war criminals, the leading nations have always covered up their crimes while exaggerating and even lying about crimes of their opponents.

So the question has to be asked, why would the US even force Pristina to form a war crimes court? And the answer is simply to get more leverage out of the Serbians, which is a lot more difficult. Now that Vucic and Nikolic are prepared to sell-out while Albanians are obedient little suckers, the US only has to gain.

ned taylor

pre 8 godina

It is sad that this man doesn't think that there is any other valid reason for establishing this court. Surely the reason for bringing to justice those who committed atrocities on either side in the Kosovo conflict is that it is the right thing to do. Why should it only be done when pressure is applied by an outside force? Of course the question that springs to mind whenever the US gets involved in these types of discussions is "when will you bring your own war criminals to justice"? Putting that aside for now, it is not sustainable for Kosovo ministers to continue to bury their heads in the sand and to suggest that all the wrongdoing in the 1998/99 conflict was perpetrated by the other side; it patently wasn't. The chances of further recognitions of independence must surely increase if Kosovo shows that it will not tolerate war criminals on its territory. Until they show this even those countries that have recognised them will simply tolerate their independent existence rather than welcome them fully into the international community.

I have news for you. I agree on all of this. Everyone does. Its called challanges and we are working on just like Serbia is (Warcriminals, Zemun Clan, Corruption, Poverty etc.) Today, everyone in Kosovo lives better then before the war. Why do you think is it that over 1 000 000 Kosovars fled from 1981 onwards. The refugees of today are a joke compared to the mass exodus under Serbian management. You could corrupt any serb state official with a "samun me suxhuk". Actually you still can.

I have to admit, the war has really tested my faith and I dont know if I`m a believer anymore. However, your verse is wrong.

Romans 19:18: "Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord."

It doesnt say anything about justice, god talks about revenge. I want Justice in this life because I know I`ll get my revenge on the other side. I would actually go as far as to say, if left to choose, I`d spend my eternity in hell too, just to see them burn.

I would suggest you study the track record of the United States involvement in foreign affairs for the last 50 years, paying attention to what happened to governments they supported, examples would be Vietnam, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Afghanistan, Libya. The common denominator in all of those places was the eventual betrayal by the USA. However the game is changing with the involvement of the Russians in Syria they are now calling the shots there.
I think you will the same is in store for you.
(Sam D, 8 March 2016 20:38)

Nice analysis, but it beggs the question what would you have done if you were Kosovo? Would you have relied on Russia to get independent from Serbia?!

Kosovo might loose its independence from Serbia in, say, year 2150. But, at least it got to be independent from Serbia from 1999 to 2150 by relying on the US. If it had relied on Russia it would not have got independent from Serbia at all because Russia does not count in the Balkans as Serbia learned the hard way.

@ Gjon Marku - Thanks for the response. I understand & hear what you're saying. The only thing I can never agree with you is the "justice" part. You mention you're Roman-Catholic Christian. I am a "christian" also..."Christian" means "follower of Christ". So I ask not only U Gjon Marku, but ANY Christian " Where do U see "justice" in how we're supposed to live our lives?" If God, or Christ, had his "justice", where do u think we would be today? His Wrath is what we out inherit, yet here we stand in Grace with him!! Let these words sink in before you, or me, call for justice! Justice belongs to him and him only, not you or me. I'm sorry for all the wrong done to u by Srbs and I'm sorry for all the wrong done to Srbs by Albanians. Our tears and heartache are no different than yours...You want justice, Srbs want justice, the WHOLE WORLD wants justice..well, as Christians, It is written "Justice is mine, I will repay". This says so in MY Bible and if you are Roman Catholic, it says so in YOUR Bible also! Yes, Gjon Marku...Justice would be nice, but neither you nor I deserve it! Why...because we ALL fall far short of his Glory and his Mercy is all we have. Let our God take care of repaying wrongdoings and let us do what our God commands us to do...Love one another! All the best!

The wind of change is blowing since the 90ies. EU is much more important to the Balkans right now than the US. After all, we arent going to live in the US nor Russia. We are Europeans. Trump is a threat to the whole world and this exictement about him and Putin is exaggerated. Just because they are alike doesnt mean they are going to become friends. Look at Putin and Erdogan. If it wasnt for the mustache, they could be twins as far as their leadership (dictatorship) goes.

You are right, Serbs & Albanians don't have much say in anything, this is why Brussel talks are the only solution. Its the only way to settle things without losing face. Every party can blame EU for painful decisions. I`m content about the agreements reached so far and I`m looking forward to more agreements. After all, I dont care about a formal recognition of Serbia. You see, I`m for reciprocity. Justice is all I care about. Lets balance the books and see how that goes.

Hey Robert1899,

I dont know how you come to your conclusions but you like it or not Kosova is independent and will forever be. I know this is what hurts Serbs the most out of the outcomes of the wars in the 90s; but there is nothing you can do and will be able to do.
Explain how do you figure that the days are numbered? You cant.

As to the unification of Albania and Kosova believe me when i tell you that it will happen and in the next few decades. There is no force in the world to stop 2 countries with a majority of the same people from being together in a union. I know very well this must hurt you even more, more than anything else, just the idea of a bigger Albanian state must be terrifying for the havenly people.
There is nothing you can do to stop it unless you go to war, to which i say, knock yourself out. You will loose again and then claim it as a victory :) lol

Not obeying your masters in Washington will lead to disciplinary actions. I would disobey, kosovo's days as "independent" are numbered, might as well try to play the part. As for those albanians calling for the unification of Albania and kosovo in order to save kosovo, that would be like the tying the Hindinberg to the deck of the Titanic in order to keep it from sinking. I have a horrible feeling that this whole Kosovo war crimes excercise is nothing but an eloborate whitewash. The Americans know that their pet project will never be entirely acceptable to the outside world if it still carries the whiff of war crimes unpunished. Those in the know are fully cognisant of the fact that Kosovo is a disaster, run by organised crime syndicates. The Albanians are simply incapable of running their own affairs. However, toss some sacrificial KLA warlords onto the bonfire of international perception and you gain more legitimacy and wider recognition. Oh, and you also get to keep your vast military installation rent free and unscrutinized for the foreseeable future. Job done. Everybody's happy. Apart that is from the real victims; Serb prisoners and civilians as well as innocent Albanians murdered during and after the KLA rebellion.

During the War 08.08.08. one Russian battalion lost contact with the commander and chased the retreating Georgian troops. Soon they found themselves in the suburbs of Tbilisi abandoned by the Georgian government that flew to Azerbaijan. Only Saakashvili and interior minister Merabishvili stayed in the city. Russian commander of the 58-th Army (then wounded) learned about it from the satellites’ photos. So he had nothing better to do but send two off-road cars to stop the assault. This single battalion made the whole city panic and replacing Saakashvili was the easiest task. But Russia hasn’t done it for only one reason. Because any other Georgian would be nothing better as all of them had been poisoned by the western propaganda and Russophobia became a national tradition. So Russia preferred Saakashvili because he had mudded himself forever and it restricted his maneuver. There is no force in the world to stop 2 countries with a majority of the same people from being together in a union. December 15 Egypt breaks diplomatic relations with Hungary and Romania.
December 16 Czechoslovakia declares war on all countries at war with the United States of America, Great Britain and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
December 17 Albania declares war on the United States of America.

If God, or Christ, had his "justice", where do u think we would be today? It doesnt say anything about justice, god talks about revenge. I want Justice in this life because I know I`ll get my revenge on the other side. I would actually go as far as to say, if left to choose, I`d spend my eternity in hell too, just to see them burn.

If it had relied on Russia it would not have got independent from Serbia at all because Russia does not count in the Balkans as Serbia learned the hard way.

ned taylor

pre 8 godina

Don’t you find that the situation in KiM is similar and that Thaci is the best choice Serbs can “enjoy” for the time being? What if the birds chose a man with not a stain on him and he is radical than the Snake can afford? Events in the world develop so fast that Serbia needs to win time to look around. Because the solution will definitely come from the outside and having a criminal PM in KiM may be a good pretext to do or not to do some of the things Serbia is imposed.

@ gjon Marku...Please be careful with what you wish for. The winds of change are starting to blow!I think you sense it, but don't want to confront it. Things in the world are starting to shift in ways that no one, including myself, forsaw. For us here in the US, it's Trump. What will he do? If he keeps "half" of his campaign promises, he will pull out of NATO, he wants to pull out of Europe and he wants to "work" with Putin...ahh, hello? I'm not saying he will win, but there is a lot of excitement here in the US! Either way, I think focus will be we need to, if not give up, than share the burden of being the world's policeman. This does not bode well for either Kosovo nor Serbia. Which ever way you look at it, we Serbs & Albanians don't have much say in anything except to say "how high" when told to jump. So, Again, I insist that an agreement acceptable to both Beograd & Pristina must be struck and implemented by Beograd & Pristina. Not one-sided, but fair and balanced for BOTH...otherwise prepare to keep jumping! Thanks for listening!

USA says jump. We jump. Serbia gets bombed.
Russia says jump. Serbia jumps. ICTY is established.......

Well, considering you think your independent, jumping through hoops because another country say's so sound like circus dog obeying his master. One day, in your lifetime, you will see the effect of letting the U.S. dictate your future. I've mentioned this before, but do a little digging and see what the U.S. has done in other countries around the world in the name of bringing democracy and freedom to that country. Once their done with you and/or you start disobeying them, you'll understand this comment.

No, Mr Kuci, not only the US wants that, the EU wants that too, Serbia, more or less everyone - except for the current Kosovo government and political scene who consists of the alleged war criminals which are considered as 'heroes'

(Watcher, 8 March 2016 20:31)

I have to admit, the war has really tested my faith and I dont know if I`m a believer anymore. However, your verse is wrong.

Romans 19:18: "Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord."

It doesnt say anything about justice, god talks about revenge. I want Justice in this life because I know I`ll get my revenge on the other side. I would actually go as far as to say, if left to choose, I`d spend my eternity in hell too, just to see them burn.

Of course, like Nazi Serbs, Nazi Croats, Nazi French, Nazi [insert ethnicity here]... Nazis of any ethnicity were part of the Hitlers Axis of Evil.

That's according to one icj1, a delusional, self-confessed nihilist. Happiness is not defined by impoverished citizens forcibly kept out of the EU in a fenced-in ghetto.

I'm glad for you. But then you are either abover average, or you are connected to the leading clans in Kosovo which really got their life improved - on the expense of the whole state (corruption and nepotism) or by benefiting from the good 'conditions' (polices looks away) for the various types of mafia 'business'.

The average Kosovo citizen on the other hand lives on only a few $ per day - where 'few' is one of the smaller 1 digit numbers.
