Balkans were not colony but the metropolis and the cradle of the Byzantine and the Ottoman Empires. Greeks played leading role in the church but after 1267 this lands including Natol were controlled by the Slavs. So Serbs were the “Turks” as well as the Bulgarians, the Macedonians, the Russians ect. Today two main happlogroups in Turkey are dominating - Slavonic R1b and R1a.

I expect Ditmir Bushati and Edi Rama getting a nasty surprise like Croatia got it and quickly introduce very strict visa regime and walls.

Kosovo will be the next step because at this moment Kosovar visas practically either do not exist or very easy to obtain.

I foresee Kosovo going the same route: either no visa / trivial visa or impossible visa.
Hint: if you have Algerian passport, try to get a Serbian or Austrian visa.
