"Nobody recalls German troops doing the killing in Srebrenica, or raising Sarajevo to the ground in the 90s. Nobody recalls Germans shouting "All Serbs in one state" in the 90s. Or Germans abolishing the autonomoy of Kosovo, and creating an apartheid state in Kosovo. One recalls Germans doing this sort of things 70+ years ago in other parts of the world but in the 90s in the Balkans there were no Germans. There were Serbs, led by that small fascinating guy, with a nice fascinating family, who started something and others who answered back, some luckier than the others."
Srebrenica was disputed. Recently there was one muslim witness, who was a bodyguard of Alija Izetbegovic. He testefied that Markale was staged by Alija nad reis ulema Cerovic. He also mentioned Srebrenica, too. The real genocide in Srebrenica was on Serbs when Naser Oric was in power. Sarajevo first victims were Serbs and a lot of Serbs in Sarajevo were killed by Caco and Celo. Autonomy of Kosovo? Real crime was constitution of 1974 that created that chaos. Why albanians are against ZSO? Serbs there have no rights. I think Serbs should be given autonomy that Albanians had in 1974.

Megalomaniac delusions of grandeur, flying with a leek? Are you kidding me? They keep it simple buddies, and they do care for their own people and these are telltale signs of their deserved ‘grandeur’. That’s why they will always be remembered as the glorious Yugos. And they are coming back, stronger than ever, in my opinion.

Yup, further confirmation of megalomaniac delusions of grandeur...

Seriously now, how many times have the two of you thought that actually Drymades could be the only decent ‘eagle’ you’d vote for, should Drymades decide to go into politics? Is that what you call ‘grandeur’ there in ancient Illyria? I don’t think so ;)

Yeah yeah yeah, if only Germany hadn't interfered the whole world would be driving Zastava cars right now instead of Mercedes and Volkswagen. Instead of flying on Airbus airplanes they would be flying with a leek up their a** (Albanian expression for dreamers of incredible magnitudes of unrealities, as you probably know).

Reader, I just set forth my own criteria for establishing a cause-effect relationship in a war, any war, be it WWII, or the '90s wars in Jugoslavia. How come that Germany recognized Croatia's and Slovenia's independence the day after both states broke away from Jugoslavia? Because of the nice Serbian guy's revenge? Maybe. Or maybe because of the total of 13 airports Jugoslavia had? Who knows? Either way, I accused Germany on purpose, since I believe Yugoslavia was a European state and its breakup was a Eu issue. Yugo's flourishing economy was the greatest challenge to Germany's unrivalled predominance in the EU area. Again, I typically hate conspirancy theories, and I'm also able to sell cookies to anybody who might want to eat them, to any reader, no pun intended ;)

This mode of blaming others for someone's own stupidity and blindness is typical of little kids and people with certain mental problems (like schizophrenic politics, to say it with ambassador Kirby's words). People who do not have the skills to see reality for what it is. And who ultimately are more vulnerable and likely to get hurt and hurt others because of this.

Nobody recalls German troops doing the killing in Srebrenica, or raising Sarajevo to the ground in the 90s. Nobody recalls Germans shouting "All Serbs in one state" in the 90s. Icj1, it's not that Sllobo was an idiot and fell for those plans. I mean, what was Sllobo supposed to do? What would you have done if you were in his shoes? Sllobo and other Jugos could never imagine that their Jugoslavia, the west's favourite country of moderate commies and liberal souls, could one day fall out of the west's grace. Surprise, suprise, they fell into Germany's trap like idiots. These are speculations, you would argue. Sure, icj1, typically westerners would always avoid being photograped while offering cookies to 'peaceful' demonstrators, be them in Tirana or Kiev. Go figure out the primary cause of wars, now...it is called arms dealers and weapons manufacturers' greed, dear. And I'm not a marxist ;)

Dacic, read what Vaso Cubrilovic (a Serbian mentor) wrote at his memorandum : The Expulsion of the Albanians. Link and paragraph is here. http://www.albanianhistory.net/texts20_2/AH1937_1.htmlThere are also lessons to be learned from the colonization of Toplica and Kosanica after 1878 when the Albanians were expelled from this region. The method of colonization here was laid down in the law of 3 January 1880. On 3 February of the same year, the People's Council approved an amendment to the law on agrarian relations under the motto "land for the peasants." Without hesitation, Serbia applied for its first foreign loan in order to pay Turkey for the lands taken. It did not set up any ministry of agrarian reform or costly apparatus to deal with the problem of colonization. Everything was managed in a simple and practical manner. The police distributed land to all those who were willing to work it. People came from Montenegro, Sjenica, Vranje, Kosovo, Peja / Pec etc. and, in a matter of thirty years, Toplica and Kosanica, once Albanian regions of ill-repute, gave Serbia the finest regiment of the 1912-1918 wars, the Second Iron Regiment. During that period, Toplica and Kosanica paid and repaid, with the blood of their sons, for the millions of dinars which Serbia had spent to settle these regions.

It is only by following this example and understanding what is required, sparing neither money nor blood, that our nation can create a new Toplica out of Kosovo and Metohija.

Gjon - your the one who is in denial & lying to oneself. Jeff is spot on with his comment as is a well known Aid worker Conor Foley;

"The death toll in Kosovo was in the hundreds before the start of the bombing campaign. It was around 5,000 by the end. Not quite the "genocide" that some people claimed, incidentally, but not a good precedent either.

I was working at Amnesty International during the Kosovo crisis. I first visited refugee camps in Albania and Macedonia during the conflict and then spent a year in Pristina seconded into the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Tony Blair says that we "reversed ethnic cleansing" there, but I would not count the expulsion of over 100,000 Serbs and Roma from a province guarded by 40,000 Nato troops as a success." http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2007/apr/20/oliverkammvconorfoley

- that 5,000 includes death of all ethnicities not just Albanians in Serbia's province and deaths by all including NATO. It was a few hundred before NATO intervention and there was no genocide nor mass death squads despite the western media overdrive of falsehoods by US officials "100,000 missing, assumed killed ...."

Just because you keep lying to yourself it does not make it true!

Yes, and it happened to another UN member state not so long ago, when an Serbia's best friend Russia backed a violent ethnic minority with arms, tanks, missiles and mercenaries which proclaimed an own 'state'. Well, not exactly, that case was even worse, Russia annexed some territory of its neighbor state. In case of Kosovo it would have been like Albania annexed Kosovo from Serbia.

"She said that Pristina will implement all agreements reached, but not those that erode the functioning of "the state of Kosovo."

Seems like the 'Kosovo ambassador' in the US either doesn't know much about Kosovo or doesn't know much about logic and reasoning: You cannot erode something that doesn't exits, there's no state of Kosovo, and that entity is far from functioning, the only thing that's functioning is drug distribution for Europe, corruption, and a very vivid democracy with political opposition throwing tear gas and is engaged in fights and quarrels with the police.

Or Germans abolishing the autonomoy of Kosovo, and creating an apartheid state in Kosovo. One recalls Germans doing this sort of things 70+ years ago in other parts of the world but in the 90s in the Balkans there were no Germans. There were Serbs, led by that small fascinating guy, with a nice fascinating family, who started something and others who answered back, some luckier than the others.

"The Serbian foreign minister then warned members of the UN Security Council that "what happened to Serbia can happened to any of them tomorrow."

Perhaps Ivica can follow his own advice and talk about the topic of the meeting, and that is the situation in Kosovo now.

"Centuries ago" is way different from "now", otherwise the Italian ambassador to the UN might start attending these UNSC sessions to talk about the genocide committed against Roman citizens in Kosovo by whoever settled in Kosovo after the Romans!

Gjon - your the one who is in denial & lying to oneself. Jeff is spot on with his comment as is a well known Aid worker Conor Foley;

"What are you trying to say - that 200,000 Serbs should not return to Kosovo? You have no right to say that. Kosovo is neither yours nor mine, neither Albanian nor Serb, but of those who live there, ie. citizens of Kosovo, and those are also Serbs," Dacic said.

So Mr Dacic - Majority of Kosovo Citizens want it to be independent thank you for clarifying it though.

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Kosovo]

It says in 1991 there were 194,000 Serbs so even with a 10% pipulation growth lets in 1998 there were 210,000 Serbs.

Today more than 150,000 Serbs live in Kosovo 60K North and 90K South we are talking maximum 60,000 displaced of which 40,000 are military.
