Paul: Given the right time and place I am sure he would be happy to elucidate on his views. I cannot imagine that his microphone would have stayed on very long if he had launched into a diatribe at the ceremony.

If he thinks that it is a matter of personal integrity to snub the Serbian president, why not have the guts to say what it is about his policies that he disagrees with?

Its probably something to do with Nikolic being a Quisling.

Culture Minister Ivan Tasovac, who was present at the ceremony, said he was "convinced that culture does not pick sides, and belongs to everyone," and advised "choosing carefully the words spoken at the National Library of Serbia."

Culture doesn't pick sides? These words would have better been said to the members of the inglorious Serbian Academy of Science and Arts not so long ago.

I think it's a positive gesture to distance yourself from a person like Nicolic.
