I was only using 150 Euros as an example. In fact officially its 350 euros per month in Serbia, but as I said many factories do not even pay that much. There are statutes and statutes on the books, but in the Balkans very few pay any attention to them. Corruption is a huge problem there. A few Euros in the right hands and you can have anything.
I don’t doubt that there are people in Romania who earn 1500 to 2000 euros per month, but these are in the minority. There are people that earn even more than that in Serbia, but as I said they are in the minority.
I have been to Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, BiH, Macedonia and they are all the same. That is why I say don’t pay any attention to GDP or PPP because it can be manipulated to read whatever you like.
Romania and Bulgaria have been in the EU for a long time, but they are not better off than Serbia.
