Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic says there is the growing problem of "nationalisms" in the Balkans - and that "a blind eye" is turned to this problem.
Rather then talking about investment opportunities, changing laws to encourage foreign investment and tax policy.
Vucic goes to a EBRD investment conference and talks about nationalism and how the EU is not something that he is that interested in anymore.

From an outsider's perspective, the worst nationalism is Serbian, Croatian, and Albanian. Mid level would be Bosniak, Slovenian, and Macedonian. The least nationalistic has to be Montenegrin, probably too lazy to express it.

That line is in flack a international border, when you arrive to that border you see the flags and symbols of The Reoublic Of Kosova, you must furnish your ID and legall documents to The Republic Of Kosova custom officers at the border, any tariffs that are to be paid are collected by the Republic Of Kosova, period!!! Rise of Nationalism in Yugoslavia began with Milosevic in 1987. He destroyed autonomy of Kosovo, Vojvodina (which were treated almost as independent countries in YU) and Montenegro and wanted to continue. His claim was that Serbs are the most important in this universe and naturally war broke.
Slovenia declared independence, and later Croatia as well, and those two acts nazistic idiot couldn't tolerate.
Milosevis lost the war mainly because people who were recruited in the army didn't want to kill other people, so he retaliated by shutting all the banks leaving people hopeless. He used the money to fund paramilitary troops (Tigers, Cobras etc) composed of criminals and extremely stupid people who would follow war crime orders without a question. Crime rose in Serbia exponentially.
After the war was lost, he tried to commit genocide on Kosovo, and triggered the NATO bombing, after which he was finally deposed by 5th October revolution.
The problem is that his acts triggered nationalism in all surrounding countries. While the Serbia tried to recover from this idiot, the neighbors formed slightly nationalist governments and anti-serb rhetoric because of the committed crimes during the war.
Life standard is drastically falling in Serbia, but I don't think nationalism is rising within but there is some number of them who don't unfortunately realize what Milosevic did, and don't think much when they speak. Their number is low (around 3-5%), but they are very loud.
