icj1 If you are sincere in finding the truth about NATO bombing Serbia you could go to Belgrade and find out yourself what was bombed.ICTY promised it would take the case regarding legality of bombing Serbia by NATO and targets NATO bombed. This would take place immediately after they complete criminal cases some time next year.In addition of 2 (two) targets I mentioned before NATO bombed the following civilian targets:Bridges, electrical grid, power houses, factories moving passenger train, learning institutions. This is all by International standard CIVILIAN TARGETS.ICTY allready alluded NATO may not be happy with court decision. We shall wait and see.War is dirty business no one benefit from it.Before any reconciliation is possible THE TRUTH out for everybody to see it

icj1 Challenge the accuracy of my statement. If you are a NATO representative I feel sorry for you. All events in regard to bombing of Yugoslavia are video taped and recorded.I suggest, you review all NATO press releases and conferences, unfortunately you will find that NATO INTENTIONALLY BOMBED CIVILIAN TARGET:Bombing news media in Belgrade is a civilian target. As for stolen property;Very ground NATO standing on in Kosovo today is a stolen property from Serbia at gun point.
(lukebuyenovich, 23 February 2016 03:40)

I have reviewed all NATO press releases and conferences as you suggested and did not find that NATO INTENTIONALLY BOMBED CIVILIAN TARGET. Instead, I found that although some mistakes were made by NATO, there was no deliberate targeting of civilians or unlawful military targets by NATO during the campaign, which is the same as the UN's finding.

Do you have any source as authoritative as the UN that supports your finding that NATO INTENTIONALLY BOMBED CIVILIAN TARGET during its bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999? So far the only evidence that you have provided in support of your finding is because you say so!

Well, Milosovic was given up to that Russian court, since the Court was proposed by Russia, approved by Russia and with all judges approved by Russia as well. So, from the perspective of the most patriotic of Serbs, I don't see where the problem is since mother Russia is Serbia's strongest friend, or so we're told!
(icj1, 21 February 2016 08:13)

You forgot to mention how democratic of Boris Yeltsin to approve the ICTY from a Russian perspective after bombing his own parliament.
(jugoslavija, 22 February 2016 16:54)

Well, there was no reason to single out Boris because both him or Vlad approved all ICTY judges. Not to mention that Vlad was even more egregious, for example by approving SEVEN times (in 2001, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015) the enemy of Serbdom named Theodor Meron!

bombardment of civilian targets is against International law and United Nations charter.
(lukebuyenovich, 22 February 2016 01:40)

Sure, that statement is correct, but in regards to the specific NATO bombing campaign against Serbia in 1999, the UN has determined that although some mistakes were made by NATO, there was no deliberate targeting of civilians or unlawful military targets by NATO during the campaign.

Kosovo was stolen from Serbia at gun point.Stolen property can never be legalized.
(lukebuyenovich, 22 February 2016 01:40)

Of course stolen property can never be legalized, but do you have any example of a parcel of land in Kosovo that has been stolen and is trying to get legalized?

"President signed agreement with NATO into law" Its not worth paper its written on.This shameful act is equivalent in scope to one signed by Dragisa Cvetkovic in 1941.It still ring in my ears demonstration in Belgrade of that era " Better grave than slave"(bolje grob nego rob)NATO committed crime against Serbian Nation and that has to be paid for before any agreement can be signed with that criminal entity.Unprovoke attack and bombardment of civilian targets is against International law and United Nations charter.Kosovo was stolen from Serbia at gun point.Stolen property can never be legalized.

"Proxy" countries of the United States/EU/NATO and Russia/China, please pick your poison from one of the choices listed below:

1) CIANIDE: Alignment with USA/EU/NATO
2) HEMLOCK: Alignment with Russia/China
3) LSD: Neutrality (if you think you can remain neutral you are
delusional already)

If you really think the US/EU/NATO/RUSSIA/CHINA really give a shit about Serbia or any other proxy country once it chooses an opposing side, please take select a DOUBLE dose of LSD.

Please make your selection soon. Voting for which side of WWIII you would like to be on will soon end as will everything else for that matter unless the West v East proxy wars are brought to an immediate HALT!

LOL Rocky, now don't go doing the same mistake the Serbs did. Don't overestimate yourself. I didn't say anything about partition, just talking about stability. That is all NATO cares about, that Serbs and Albanians don't get at each other's throats again. Everything else falls under that. Helping Kosovo get independent and recognized is good because it stabilizes the region. Not allowing partition is good because it stabilizes the region. With the Kosovo army soon to be formed, not allowing the Kosovo army to go to the North is good because it stabilizes the region. According to NATO at least. But that would be a worst case scenario. Worst case scenarios are just that, probable undesirable events. It does not mean that they will happen. Look up the definition.
Now, you say the Serbs will obey the laws of Pristina, question is what if they don't? What are you going to do?

icj1

There will be no joining of NATO.

This agreement pretty much assures it is NOT going to happen.

NATO got what it wanted... and Serbia stays neutral (while having the power to block transit participation on a case by case basis and/ or opt out).

It's a good deal.

If I was Albanian, I would be bothered by it.
(factman, 20 February 2016 05:06)

I totally agree with factman here - it's a good deal for NATO. NATO already got what it wanted, so the only one to benefit from Serbia joining NATO would be Serbia by getting NATO's protection. Why would NATO want to protect Serbia, if NATO already got what it wanted?!

As for Kosovo and Albania, that is a good deal too. It means that Serbia has no voice in NATO's decisions and Albania is protected against any attack by Serbia if somebody crazy enough gets in power in Belgrade.

My grandfather was a victim of the Germans in 1943 but I have many good friends from Germany. OK, that was 70 years ago but my mother (whose father it was) has always liked the Germans...........they were as pissed off with the Nazis as most others.

Just my two cents:

with the creation and solidification of the Kosovo Armed Forces soon to happen, Serbia is signing this agreement so that NATO forces can be a buffer between the north of Kosovo and the Kosovo Army. They are putting in place this agreement in the eventuality of a worst case scenario. This might explain the words of Vucic a couple days ago about NATO protecting the Serbs (protection from whom? and why now?). A signal is being sent to the Kosovo leaders: You can have the army but if you try to go in the North, KFOR may intervene. The role of KFOR as a buffer between the two peoples continues.
(Reader, 19 February 2016 19:12)

Sorry to burst your bubble pal, however your 2 cents u can shove were the sun don't shine!
Northern Kosova is just that, the north of The Republic Of Kosova, and the inhabitants there will obide by the same laws that all inhabitants of Kosova will obide by, don't forget that the worlds super power said on many occasions there will be "NO" partition of Kosova, not one millimeter! Those agreements signed by Vucic were signed for excacty that, the north of Kosova will obide by the constitution of "The Republic Of Kosova"!
Yes the Serb inhabitants will have some autonomy however they will be governed from prishtina! So Cheers, to the new reality you are about to get struck by!!!

The fragmentation of Jugoslavia, the amputation of Srpska Krajina and finaly the occupation of Serbian Holy Land Kosovo for sure the mortal wound of Serbian Eastern Orthodoxy in the Balkans! How much longer will Serbian people linger in agony like this, well before the end of this new century we will be extinct and ancient history only for those who will care to remember us! Pretty much just like the Native American Indian people in North America we Serbians in the Balkans will be of the same fate! Now Serbia totally surrounded by sadistic and satanic hate and evil, Serbian cival leaders continue to be in a state of denial, like a very ill mind in the last stages halucanating and visions of life flashing by! No, it's willing to move on and let the past be the past. Italy and Germany both joined NATO within 10 years of being bombed far more heavily in WWII than Serbia was bombed in 1999. If Germans and Italians can move on, why can't Serbs?
