For once, I agree with AY. Seselj should not have been released by the first trial chamber in November 2014. Seselj should have stayed in prison, we agree AY. In fact, that wrong decision was revoked a few days later by another panel of judges but it was too late. And thank God that wrong decision was not repeated in the case of that general (Tolimir? Zvonkimir?) who died at the Hague a few days ago.

Lesson is: No Serbs should be released from the Hague for health reasons.

Is anybody able to explain the linkage between the "weakening the position of Serbia" and "Seselj's attendance at the sentencing hearing"... this so-called "Minister" omitted to explain it :)

Can you someone explain to me the link between your brain and mouth? Maybe you should get together with New Brunswick along with his sister in law and uncle and have a lively debate on if Seselj will show up at the Kangaroo court.

Starting with you Jugoslavia why would you make such a stupid assumption that I drink?? I never in my life consumed alcohol in my life for God's sake! Besides I have a live in 9 year old nephew and his 7 and a half year old brother I don't want to end up corrupting them or something and besides alcoholic beverages can also resulting in puking for some and trust me I dread vomiting and I can be a nervous "wreck",furthermore, if you or that Sasa P viewer doesn't like it that some people are against Trump than that's your problem or Sasa P's problem. As for you Sasa P why the heck are you calling me stupid?! in fact if you wish your boss was dead but someone else murdered your boss who says you'd go to jail? If you really thought that that would cause you to get arrested than you're the one who is acting stupid but of course if you ordered even paid someone for murder of course you can end up in jail and if you're smart you'll realize why.

@Paul:

Perhaps what byassociation is telling you that even if Mr Seselj didn't directly murder his alleged victims he may have ordered the murders or didn't take any precautions to prevent murder from occurring meaning that if that is the case that he may be just as culpable as if he directly committed unjustifiable murder or you could even use the term mass homicide in this case.

If relevant to the topic I want to point out that back in 1988 a notorious American drug lord by the name of Howard "Pappy" Mason who also was the leader of a brutal gang known as the "Bebos" was arrested and jailed at the Rikers Island jail complex in the Bronx borough of New York City for illegally possessing a weapon and since he was discontent regarding his arrest and since he allegedly despises police he devised revenge so therefore when a gang member(s) visited him at Rikers he ordered and somehow paid his gang members $8000 or $8000 each to slay a cop so in late February of 1988 two members of the Bebos approached a lone cop seated in his "cruiser" in New York's Jamaica or Queens borough and one of the gang members shot the cop 3 or 5 times in the head.My point is that even though Howard Mason didn't directly murder that cop the fact is he ordered the murder and is considered just as culpable which should explain why he is serving a life sentence (possibly without the possibility of parole.)

Serbia should simply request, once again from the ICTY, what conditions had the accused agreed to upon his release in Nov 2014. If the ICTY released Seselj without giving him any conditions, then ICTY's incompetence should be addressed by the UNSC. For almost 15 years the Hague had Seselj in their custody to convict him of an actual war crime and failed to do so. And they had all the free time in the world given that they were quickly acquitting or not even prosecuting all of the war criminals in ex-YU that murdered Serbian civilians. Any ruling that they pass down should not be respected by Serbia. The ICTY is not a rational institution, it's entire existence from its foundation has been to commit political aggression on Serbia.

P.S. With the totally unnecessary and only political motivated decision of calling new elections, Serbia weakened the government and its position, not with the extradition of the oh-so ill Seselj who is very active and full of energy when it comes to burning foreign flags.

The usual blabla and conspiracy theories. Sorry, it's a standard procedure that the accused is present when the verdict is published. And since you can be 95% sure that he won't be acquitted, so Seselj will go straight back from the court to prison where he belongs.

P.S. With the totally unnecessary and only political motivated decision of calling new elections, Serbia weakened the government and its position, not with the extradition of the oh-so ill Seselj who is very active and full of energy when it comes to burning foreign flags.

Serbia should simply request, once again from the ICTY, what conditions had the accused agreed to upon his release in Nov 2014. If the ICTY released Seselj without giving him any conditions, then ICTY's incompetence should be addressed by the UNSC. Not much Serbia can do if idiotic clowns masquerading as judges release individuals unconditionally.

It is actually quite scary how many American Seselj supporters will vote for Trump.

What a stupid comment. You are quite scared of what specific numbers?!?!

Do tells us - How many American Seselj supporters are there in America?

adrian_bucharest,

You mistake my distaste for The Banana Court as admiration for Seselj.

Also, i think you are going to be in for an unpleasant surprise when DEFLATION takes a hold of you. Ask the Japanese what they think about that.

Lower and lower prices is bad for an economy -- not good for an economy.

Paul, I suppose Seselj never actually killed anyone. People who went to Hague took responsibility for their footsoldiers and subordinates, otherwise you would have to put entire former Yugoslavia to Hague. I am personally willing to bet that Thaci did kill people personally, has he even denied that.

According to the ICTY records, it was the ICTY that released Seselj.
According to the ICTY records, the ICTY did not give Seselj any conditions for his release.
In the months leading up to November 2014, Serbia requested that the ICTY and the defendant agree to conditions for his release. Serbia is bound by the specific conditions that were given to Seselj ..: None.

@Paul:

Can you someone explain to me the link between your brain and mouth? Maybe you should get together with New Brunswick along with his sister in law and uncle and have a lively debate on if Seselj will show up at the Kangaroo court.

I'm not sure who New Brunswick is or who his sister and uncle is. But since you appear to be familiar with them, by all means feel free to have the debate hehe
