Terror attacks in Kosovo "not question of if, but when"

Kosovo police have denied that <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/crimes.php?yyyy=2016&mm=02&dd=01&nav_id=96882" class="text-link" target= "_blank">the four persons arrested in front of the Serbian Orthodox Monastery of Visoki Decani</a> had links to terrorism.

Correction, it was eddi ramas'(the PM) brother.

It is important to note the sentiment and why arguing is still better than fighting. A conclusion has to be drawn by both Serbs and Albanians, this is our dispute and we should both agree that external meddling will escalate this case to a conflict.

Enemies or not, there is no reason for the US starting our war, especially if there is no war to be had, and like wise Kosovo majority should ask themselves if its hard line Islam they want to convert to, as far as I know Albania is not hard line muslim.

To further my previous comment, the difference between Islam and jihadists, is that many jihadists are too scared to work alone, they have fear coursing through their veins and require the numbers to actually do any harm. If the case were not true, the amount of attacks would be higher in number ten-fold, around the world.

I don't think the four assailants were that night going to do anything. My assumption is they were driving up courage and this may have been their third visit, and the first one armed. Its not enough to just start shooting and hope to hit people, the area has to be surveyed first. I would even go so far as to say they were waiting for some more firepower, in the days to follow, if they weren't caught.

About the soccer match, didn't the chanting start after the drone came down with the greater Albania flag, Uno, the flag witch shows all of Serbia, and a bit of Montenegro and Macedonia as Albanian. Actually wasn't it piloted by Thaci's brother while he was at the game?

For the record, Janjic wasnt even there :-) He told what others told him. They found two weapons (one AK47 and a Pistol with each on clip). 4 Persons with two weapons and 29 Bullets?! What kind of a terror attack is this??

Well dear, both people driving with weapons or people chanting death for other people does not kill anybody. But people using those weapons to kill or people putting into practice their death chants is going to kill people. So where is the difference?!

=======================================
That all depends on intent. It's obvious even to a fool that chanting by unarmed men at a soccer game is not a plan for murder but driving past a church which has already been attack four times with weapons in the car and people who fought in Syria and have a black Islamist flag in their home is. They were not just doing a benign driveby. At least one person there is a terrorist with connections to IS.
So don't play stupid (maybe you are not playing) and don't try to turn this into some joyride on a Friday night after the prayers. This is serious.

How many Serbs do you see driving by your mosques carrying weapons and obviously with intent to use them against the clergy? Chanting at a soccer game is not going to kill anyone but this will.

Oh I know when, and here's when: From 1997 until June 1999, the terrorist state of Serbia attacked Kosova and killed 15000 people, raped, burned, pillaged, and destroyed homes, businesses, villages and neighborhoods, churches and mosques, museums and schools, and sent one million people fleeing the terror.
It will never in the history of Kosova happen any terrorist attack bigger than this. Two guys with pistols without bullets could never ever kill as many people as the terrorist government of Serbia killed in Kosova.

It is a very serious incident, attempted murder during a terrorist attack against an Orthodox monastery and its community of monks. KFOR should be in charge of protecting any Orthodox site in Serbia. Kosovo Police's clowns are known for their shows and 'professionalism'. The last show I remember was Kurti's hilarious arrest. Was it Kurti or Bin Laden who was arrested by Kosovo's Police btw?

Obviously, the Albanian peasants below would better remain silent on this topic. But since they can't, because they have already been kicked out soundly from Albanian blogs, because chatty souls remain chatty souls, and the only language peasant women understand is Veseli's language towards the mentioned women, well, in that case, I would express my solidarity to our Orthodox brothers in Kosovo. It is an honor to have known those monks and I would describe Father Sava as a 'living enciclopedia' and a man of great heart. The fact that moderate Muslims and Orthodoxes have been recently targeted from terrorists in both Kosovo and Albania says a lot on who is really fighting the terrorism and who is perceived as the 'enemy' from said terrorists. Obviously, I hate lecturing any day on simple topics and common sense....Do not oblige me, peasants, please, I don't have those monks' heart...

"And you cannot deny that ethnically motivated hate is widely accepted and tolerated - by the society and the politics as well"

what on earth are you on about? by the same token, ethnically motivated crimes are also tolerated in Serbia. did you not happen to have watched the Serbia Albania game where chants such as Death to Albanians, by members of the public have been roundly dismissed as the ramblings of testosterone driven crowds? name me one person who has been charged with inciting hatred for that. you can't. this by the way, happened in the presence of serb politicians, who went out of their way to defend the behaviour of the crowd. you yourself dismiss the slogans that the peaceful loving serbs bring with them during their annual visits to Gazimestan as nothing more than harmless Cyrillic decorations.

"The sad thing is in Kosovo there are no significant moderate parties which are free from influence of former KLA criminals..," seems to me, this here a claim to being guilty by association. every single person that runs Serbia today, such as Dacic, Vucic, Nikolic are linked to Sloba's and Seselj's Serbia by either having served under them, or having loose associations with them. But you have the view that these are now reformed characters? what do you base that on? Speeches that they give? like what? Denying Srberenica? Making statements on Vukovar? every single criticism that you make of the current Kosovar leadership, every single one applies to Serbia too

(Nikolle, 2 February 2016 12:08)

There are not only Islamist radicals and extremists, but nationalist radicals and extremists, too. And about the parliament: Sometimes there are fights in some countries (like Russia and similar ones), but repeatedly tear gas in the assembly is something that exists only in Kosovo. And you cannot deny that ethnically motivated hate is widely accepted and tolerated - by the society and the politics as well.

Of course that's not only specific for Kosovo, Serbia has Radicals too, with Seselj who thinks burning flags of other countries is a way to show 'opposition' - but his party is not in parliament, fortunately.

The sad thing is in Kosovo there are no significant moderate parties which are free from influence of former KLA criminals, mafia groups or radical nationalists. The PDK might see itself as more left and social-democrat, but still didn't manage to distance itself from shady corrupt figures - which is understandably, they would have to kick out 50% or so of their politicians.

This information came over the media (TV to be exact) and the reporter mentioned that the police had detained an Albanian from Kosovo and they found arms and ammunition in the boot of his car. Since that day, I have searched for further information and there is nothing. Normally, if it was an error the police/media retract that comment, but there was nothing.
I don’t find it unusual since there are plenty of Albanians from Kosovo and Albania who are currently fighting with ISIS in Syria and Iraq. I also don’t find it unusual for western countries to cover up otherwise their people ask awkward questions.
It’s the worst kept secret that after the Paris attack and the French government outrage, France only hit 5 target in one week while Russia hit 350. The French were faking outrage for the benefit of the general public.

Janjic's statement added that "publishing arbitrary information is creating an impression of downplaying of the case for unknown reasons, which is not to the benefit of Kosovo citizens regardless of their ethnic or religious background as terrorism is a danger for all."

Isn't it always the case that KPS downplays obviously ethnically motivated attacks? In this case there was no attack (yet), but it's clear that these four gentlemen were more terrorists than tourists who wanted to visit one of the famous 'Kosovo's cultural heritage'. Not much too see there, anyway, in the middle of the night.

If you wanna read something about Kosovo and ISIS fighters, I can recommend this article

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3426369/The-lost-generation-Desperate-parents-reveal-hundreds-young-men-women-left-Kosovo-fight-ISIS-Syria.html

A surprising (or not so suprising) fact mentioned there:
"Kosovo has the highest 'per capita' ratio for nationals joining ISIS"

A radicalized society made up of poor ordinary citizens ruled by a criminal and corrupt elite easily falls for Islamist propaganda, sponsored by Saudi Arabia and similar countries that payed for all the nice mosques erected everywhere in Kosovo.

Well dear, both people driving with weapons or people chanting death for other people does not kill anybody. But people using those weapons to kill or people putting into practice their death chants is going to kill people. So where is the difference?!

=======================================

Yeah. Unbelievable you're still trying to blame the victims and exonerate the perpetrators. Unbelievable that after years of this nonsense happening, there's people like you who are still able with a straight face to twist logic and reality around and blame it on Serbs.

"A radicalized society..." in what way is Kosovar society radicalised? Care to elaborate. There are Islamic parties here, and none of them have a single seat in Parliament or in local councils. Unless you think that their mere existence is worrisome, I fail to see how our whole society is radicalised. Another one of your tired attempts to portray K. Albanians with the same brush.

Muslims just can't keep it in them, can they. People like Izetbegovic or Thaci can fool the west with their clown suits and clean cut hair, but the rest of us who have been struggling against jihad for almost 1000 years know the truth.

And the Islamists that attacked in Paris were only out for a walking in the afternoon. Interesting to note during that attack the Paris police stopped a car driven who turns out to be an Albanian and a search disclosed arms and ammunition in the boot. Very little was heard about this because I suspect he was from Kosovo. Even after such carnage they have to keep up appearances, you cant confuse the public by telling them that the people they "saved" now want to kill them. Love the western free press.

Comm. Parrisson

Nikolle, are you seriously comparing this to what happened at the soccer game? You Albanians will try to twist anything to fit your version of justice.
How many Serbs do you see driving by your mosques carrying weapons and obviously with intent to use them against the clergy? Chanting at a soccer game is not going to kill anyone but this will.
Stop excusing your brethren's homicidal actions by comparing them to chants or just stop excusing them altogether.
This was clearly a terrorist attack gone wrong for your lot but then to whitewash it is another wrong done against the Serbs.

What are you even talking about and who are you talking to? I havent commented anything yet. Sasa, yes, extremism is a problem. Its a problem for everyone. Doesnt matter if its serb extremist or Albanian extremists. We have to find a way to get rid of all of them.

We did well and are doing well with fighting or expelling serb extremists. I`m sure we can handle muslim extremist just as fine. Look at Kosovo now, do you see any Serb extremist in Kosovo now? Not since the 90ies. Even northern part of Kosovo is doing better and is slowly integrating. Don`t worry about us. Its election season in Serbia, your propaganda is running on max.!

As for this case, I still don`t believe this abbot Janjic. He`s a pathological liar. I stick with KPolice.

Everything besides, isnt it crazy how everyone wants a piece of my beautiful country? Serbia, Turkey, Saudis. Everyone is so obsessed with us Albanians. Its crazy, I`m like, guys stop it, non of you is getting a piece of this cake - ever!!
