where as the serbs in mitrovica area etc have been fundamentally forced to leave their country and become another one if they wish to stay where they are
(gray, 26 January 2016 16:51)

I'm perplexed! Which is this other country that Serbs in Mitrovica have been forced to become part of?!

Ledion,
there is a subtle, yet very important difference, which is why one might suggest there is rationale to treat these two parties differently.
the albanian population in presevo etc have always been within the same country. from birth, they've been part of the same country, if they wish to stay where they are. where as the serbs in mitrovica area etc have been fundamentally forced to leave their country and become another one if they wish to stay where they are.

see. one group stays still, and nothing changes around them. the other group stays still and everything changes around them. so, since the comparison between the two groups is not really comparable, why do you expect that they have comparable policies?

Come on guys,
Do you think those Albanian politicians really give a crap about the practical implementation of that agreement. The system is run by drug traffickers posing as politicians, with cash from america.
Business as usual, they are not throwing teargas because of that. One of the many implication will be, no more greater albania, legally. You can work out the other benefits here, I won't list them.
And now with Russia actually caring again and being an influence, the albo narcos are uneasy, understandably.
Syria is a hundred times more important than Kosovo to the USA, and they can't get it. The Russians even beat them on the propaganda front, as they are everywhere these days.
Albanians, if push came to shove, would desert a sinking ship, which historically they always do, and run to the Russians. But they know Russia won't accept turncoats.
It's a good thing, I hope America utilizes them more, we need more kumanovo's, without the police deaths.

How come Isis' mercenaries are recently calling themselves Albo-Orthos all of a sudden? That's so funny, so funny :) Thank you for the reklama, btw, never thought a minority could become so important for a majority of unemployed souls... Hasta la victoria, cowards ;)

EU, nor do we Albanians want another RS in Kosova. EU itself is not a proponent of creating another RS.

With that being said Serbs will have their minority rights, as they should. Nothing more than that will be allowed, and that's not going to change.

Then you'll be happy to know that that has never been on the agenda, nor will ZSO, which comprises an element of people less than 10% of Kosovo's population, ever become one. RS has executive veto power over all of Bosnia because Bosnian Serbs were given about 49% of territory to control.

With about 15% of Kosovo's territory sloted for ZSO, and much of that being patchwork villages throughout the region, it would say something more about Kosovo Albanians' inability to govern than Serb domination if ZSO ever achieved what RS has. Nowhere in the Ahtisaari Plan, nor in the Brussels Agreement upon which ZSO is based, was there ever a stipulation that ZSO autonomy interferes with the affairs of Kosovo's Albanians.

Why do Serbs that live in Kosovo have to vote for a Serbian Election? That's like Indians who live in UK which are the biggest Minority to vote for Indian Election. If you want to vote and you have a dual citizenship i.e. Kosovan Passport and Serbian Passport then go to Serbia and vote. In Presheva and Bujanoc Albanians do not get to vote when there is election in Kosovo. I don't get why Serbs have to be treated differently.
