The gun could be an imitation for all we know and as for the gunman or supposed gunman it could be his idea of a practical joke or prank.It's possible.

Wow! That is one tough, beautiful young lady. A thug flashes a gun inches from her face. Her response is to nonchalantly wave him away with her hand and continue on with her reporting. She deserves a raise in salary.
