Can someone explain me why Vucic is calling for early elections when he has a healthy majority in parliament?

Thanks in advance!

He doesn't. He needs coalition partners.

Two things could be happening here. 1) problems with his coalition partners, namely Dacic and SPS. 2) a split in his party between russian-leaning elements (Nicolic) and EU leaning elements (all the disaffected DS voters who voted for SNS in the last election).

I'm thinking #2 is likelier

2016 could be a surprisingly bad year for Serbia. FIAT might stop Serbian operation altogether. Smederevo Steel plant might close again due to steel prices in the world. All in all it’s better to get over it because nobody knows what comes in the second half of the year.

But because apparently Vucic didn't go into politics just because of the paycheck or to help find a job his relatives & clan, Muzaka. It's a cultural thing, the one that makes most people in the world admire Serbs' moral integrity. See the Greek leaders also, the world's champions of change, early elections & referendums. Otherwise, double-read the article and you'll find the answer. Most welcome, Muzaka ;)
