RE: Albanian Cowards

Mustafa was hiding behind umbrella's when the eggs were being thrown at him, so the coward is now really hiding under the umbrella of Visa liberalization afraid that eggs will turn into bullets.

His friend Rugova did the same after the KLA and UCK killed an LDK associate and Milosevic had to put him under the protection of the Serbian army. Is Mustafa going to ask for protection from KFOR? Nothing changes with Albanian worthless politicians, soldiers and cowards.

Wow. Things are melting down fast in Pristina.

Let's review for a minute. It was absolutely imperative that Serbia's feet be held to the fires of Brussels talks before chapters were opened for running the gauntlet to the EU. These chapters are opened, right? -- whatever that means.

As a condition for membership, Belgrade must "normalize" relations with Pristina, whatever that means. And at this point it hardly means anything at all, especially if Pristina won't show up.

It would be hard to obligate Belgrade to anything for conditions regarding Kosovo as membership now. And let's imagine that the EU still has some enthusiasm for an independent Kosovo.

What are the alternatives? Give Kosovo back to Serbia? I don't think Serbia wants all of it anyway. Imagine that the EU insisted on taking all of Kosovo back as a condition for membership in the EU and then it would be Serbia's problem.

The biggest problem here nobody wants to look at are the borders between Kosovo and Albania. Right now, there are none.

Viza liberalization has nothing to do with brussel agreements...
(Gjon Marku, 13 January 2016 17:27)

Oh but it is, since Kosovo wants to get into the EU. Maybe you're new to these types of debates but everything any Balkan country or statelet does under EU auspices comes with the vague promise of a treat and pat on the head for being so democratic. Obviously the EU is watching Kosovo's actions and just as Serbia is required to make with the nice-nice with Kosovo, so too is Kosovo expected to "normalize relations" and act like the Young Europeans they keep saying they are. That means agreeing to implement what it agreed to instead of making demands like you have any clout when your leadership is handpicked by the US. Once you do what's expected of you, the higher ups award the little Balkanoids with some sort of award. It's not directly associated with the negotiations with Serbia, but it's part of the larger process of EU accession and freedom of movement. If you have difficulty comprehending these complex issues, try looking at what Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro need to perform. Come back when you have something valuable to contribute to the conversation.

Then stay away. As a recent Italian survey pointed out, the majority of EU citizens want nothing to do with Kosovo anyway.

Hajvan! Viza liberalization has nothing to do with brussel agreements. Those are two different topics and not in dependence of each other. Thank you anyway for commenting and enrching this thread with your ignorance.

I suggest, maybe next time, you read into a topic until you understand it before releasing complete nonsense upon us.

On behalf of those users with at least a little understanding of politics, I would like to thank democracy and freedome of speech because in a different time we would have chained in the center of the village. As a warning for others who attempt to speak of things they have no knowledge of.

I think it's adorable that Kosovo is making indirect demands on Brussels to condition its presence at the next meeting when it's pretty clear the actual dialogue, not to mention implementation of agreed-upon terms already reached concerning ZSO, are the conditions Kosovo needs to visa liberalization.

So he won't go unless he gets something even though in order to get what he wants, he needs to go. Brilliant.

Surprisingly

pre 8 godina

I have to admit that as weak as Kosovo is, on every aspect of a statehood, living mainly on money sent from industrialized foreign nations. They are not backing down for anything, although I think Mustafa is not positioned to say whether he will travel to brussels or not because of visa liberalization.

It is clear that the opposition in Kosovo has gained momentum, and Mustafi is looking for a way out. He knows his days are numbered and is trying to do everything possible silently to find a way out of his mess. If the opposition in Kosovo takes over the government, it will sink Kosovo as far as you can think in terms of Kosovo ever becoming a member of EU.

Serbia will be out of luck reach any negotiations with this right wing opposition, and everything signed so far will definitely go down the drain. So, Serbia is not going to like this move in Kosovo at all either. It will be interesting to see what happens.
