Croatia has in total about 600 professional soldiers with something like 400 troops and the rest non-commissioned and commissioned officers. They would have to mobilize several divisions, arm them and have air support to invade RS. Croatia does not have enough equipment to fend off an angry 110 great grandmother.
Military bases are closed over December and January period as a budget saving initiative which has been a standing practice for the last 5 years (I think) maybe longer.
Even Karamarko said today that spending money on armaments is just a waste (because Croatia has to pay for them – every NATO member has to share the burden) and that money would be better spent on creating employment. If they do buy, all that means more people will leave the country. Where do you take money from to pay for these missiles? Health, education, social security?
Get a loan? Not likely as this new guy the President has appointed is in Austria asking Austrian banks to wipe a portion of Croatia's debt and that is not likely either because if they do then the Austrian taxpayer has to foot the bill.

Croatia is arming because She intends to come for the Serbians in Bosnia-Herzegovina and anticipates an Armed conflict with Serbia.

To Leonard,
That's crap ,the Chinese with Serb's want to buy the ports of Montenegro, that where the big investment's are heading.Ports of Montenegro, thru Serbia to Hungary EU ,or ports of Greece, thru Macedonia ,then again thru Serbia to Hungary EU,that's why a BIG investment's into rail infrastructure.
Have you knuckleheads, realise where the action is heady, that simple countries like Malta (yesterday) and Cuba(3 months) want in on the action in Serbia!Just a list of the countries that where in Belgrade in the last 6 months wanting to invest in Serbia.
Iran,UAE,Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan, South and central American countries, China,Vietnam, Russia and EU nations, and even USA!.
P's Croatian port have been for sale since 1990's.You would know that If you have lived their!Highway's are own by foreign companies ,permanently, no long yearly contract!

You serbs are strange, people. Really!
You invest the triple or more of the budget that your neighbors invest in army and nobody ask with which purpose you do it.
Now somebody do the same and that's seems to you a threat?
What make you believe that? Is not that you invest in army with the purpose to attack your neighbors and when a neighbor do the same you immediately “translate” it like a attack?

Hi Lenard !

Glad to see you on duty again.

Gjon Marku : you dont have one single ally in the Balkans?

You’re right that Serbia does not know the taste of sperm because it does not belong to any sexual minority.

Lenny once you leave the sanatorium go to Croatia and spend time there.
The highways – the government borrowed money to build them, but now they had to sell all roads to private interests. If you lived in Osjek and had relatives in say the Knin area you would spend a two week’s wages on road tolls alone.
Trains – This is a company owned by the Croat government and its only building them under contract for an outside firm not for internal use. It’s all subsidised by Croatia. They are too expensive for Croat use. You should see the number of tracks abandoned in Dalmatia because they could not service them.
Ports – all are being sold and if they are being “modernised” its only for the sale, much like putting lipstick on a pig. In reality Croatia has had these ports for sale since the late 1990s.
Rijeka is not suitable for what you talk about. Italy already has ports that can handle that task through Trieste then to Slovenia and so on.
China’s main investment portfolio is Serbia not Croatia. Corruption is as big problem in Croatia as it’s in Serbia mate.

Lenard, I have a lot of Croat friends here. Most aren't angry with the Serbs anymore, rather the ones that pilfered during the war. They agree, no one is going to be left in that country. There's no future there. Infrastructure? How much debt did Croatia betray its citizens with in order to modernize?

why doesn't Croatia spend the money on infrastructure? There are some solid minds in that country that are immigrating abroad because there is nothing left there.
(GrumpySerb, 11 January 2016 18:01) We are the spanking new highways are done just in the last decade. The railways are being done for high-speed trains. The trains are being built by Croatia 140 of them for us and for export. The tram lines in the city's and also modern new trams built here. The ports are being modernized and Rijeka port is becoming the main port for central and eastern Europe. With a 5 billion investment in the port from China to get its products to heart of Europe etc. We are not Serbia that projects take decades and the money disappears mysteriously before anything is built. Only if foreigners take charge something is done or built in Serbia.

So what if they are arming it's their right? Serbia should arm too in case one of those missiles is "accidentally" launched in Belgrades direction because of "technical malfunction".
