The Julian calendar (started 46 B.C.) was used in all the countries governed by the Romans including England and much of Europe for many centuries.

Funny how their heritage is a lot more visible and historically documented than anything you Albanians like to think you have. This is especially true of people who claim Serbs are outsiders yet try to steal as much of their history and claim it as their own.

The calendar was raped so many times that one cannot be serious about any version available. If you believe in any calendar I will disappoint you just say which one.

So celebrating a New Year is a matter of traditions be it the Gregorian calendar or the Julian. In Russia “the Serb New Year” is known as the OLD NEW YEAR (СТАРЫЙ НОВЫЙ ГОД). As you must know Russia is the oldest state in the world with permanent history while in Europe only Britain has a more or less long history.

In the times when Britain as granted independence Russians and Serbs were one people and they spoke one language close to the church Serbian. So we celebrate our old holidays according to our old calendar. Meanwhile Albanians started to form as a nation only in 19-20 century.

So you must be unaware that before 1700 the Russians and most likely all Orthodox peoples used other than Gregorian and Julian calendars while the Slav word CALENDAR means CALIADA DAR. The difference with the Gregorian is 5508 years so today it must be year of 7724 ОТ СОТВОРЕНИЯ МИРА В ЗВЕЗДНОМ ХРАМЕ. But when in 1700 the false Peter I (Isaaky) introduced the new calendar he stole 4 month as the old new year started on Sept.1 so all dates are more or less wrong.

Albanians claim Serbian Balkan heritage all the time. They have no culture yet try to show that they have something and that something is copied from the Serbs.LOL Slavs were always living north of the Greeks.

I am an orthodox who believes that saints, as people existed on earth, god and Jesus, not so much. For this reason I am a practicing orthodox who places all belief in mankind being able to be good. The world officially stopped believing in a Jewish man named jeshua (Jesus?) at about the 16th century when a more convenient (Gregorian)calendar was created. In time a new calendar again will be created which will include a name for all men who believe in men, this is when ortho-chris-islam-jew....will have to admit the pinnacle of there very belief is either one man or it was fabricated for financial gain. We know how evil we can be, were we really any different hundreds of years ago?
So as for the dates, they were given to us by the men we believe in (not gods) so we celebrate the teachings of men.
