The Serbian police have seized nearly 732 kilograms of tobacco in a private house in the town of Sid, in the northwest of the country.

I think to charge for something like this is really stupid. What is wrong with growing tobacco leaves like in the old times? My grandfather did that and he smoked natural cigarettes- not this legal stuff that is loaded with cancer causing ingredients.

Honestly, Serbian government to make arrests over this is really stupid. Tobacco leaves? Who TF cares. This is not drugs. Tobacco leaves are not what today's cigarettes are made with hundreds of carcinogenic ingredients which btw is FKG legal. My grandparents grew tobacco on their farm and they were law abiding citizens.

It's usually grown in South of Serbian (around Pec),by the Shiptars, and smuggled to the North ,before it is sold for the EU countries(usually Austria, Germany ) on the black market.They try to smuggled it to Switzerland, that's where the big money is made,but it's very hard these day's.

Where was it grown? This item is hardly news unless B92 can tell us whether they know where it came from, and if so, who grew it.
