No reason Thaci can't become president - Mustafa

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa has said there is "no reason for his deputy (and) foreign minister, Hashim Thaci" not to become the president.

"According to him, not a single case of corruption has been recorded in any of the ministries."

No, it's not considered corruption when Thaic can build a fancy villa with his 'salary' of 1000€ or so per month as minister or prime minister. And it's of course not corruption when Thaci's cousins get nice jobs, like being the direktor of KEK (Kosovo electric company). Or when seized drugs are stolen from the KPS headquarter.
No, this is perfectly fine in a clan based society.

And that Kosovo is ranked very low in the list corruption list is not the fault of Thaci's government, of course not.

But I agree with Mustafe, Thaci would be a good president, he represents everything that Kosovo is (like the things mentioned above) very well.

Having been a head of a mafia clan and having had his names listed on the CIA terrorist list an surely another be seen as some more good qualification in the multi-ethnic, democratic dream state of Kosovo
