If Serbia is so attached to Russia, then why do so many Serbs speak English and German over Russian? Why are there more Serbs in Munich, Vienna, even Chicago than the whole of Russia? Why is west European and American culture, ie music, movies, etc. far more prevalent in Serbia than Russian? Why are European and American cars more prevalent? This bizarre attachment is for old Chetniks like Nikolic, but Serbia's future is within a democratic Europe, not Putin's fascist Russia.

Because they have a common culture and religion and language and probably origin.
Why is it so difficult to understand that?
Just because one lives in a material world and values material consumer goods and prosperity does not mean one forgets the above. That would be rather shallow.

It's impressive how he finds something nice to say.
It's good that he's stopped going on about being brothers. Being 'brotherly' is not so strong, but keeps within the spirit of earlier utterances without being too obvious about abandoning the overly done previous sycophancy.
