Apparently Putin has got most of the Russian media under control, and the people are historically so used to believing in a single leader that his place as President for Life is secure.

We can expect to see Putin to continue to rule the roost for a long time yet. He will continue to grow in stature for a long time yet. He will be loved and trusted and Russian TV will have to do its bit to keep his image that way.

The journalists have no other realistic choice. They must obey their leader.

"In 2014, Dozhd’s editor-in-chief, Mikhail Zygar, was recognized with CPJ’s International Press Freedom Award."

Not surprising that Russia persecutes them under fabricated accusations.

P.S: In the World Press freedom index, Russia is ranked even below Turkey in 2015.
