How clever! Let's see how Turkey will get a special discount rate from other non-Russia sources. It won't happen, just as how Norway offered to off-set any EU short fall with a special elevated price... Istanbul is full of geniuses.

This winter we will have cold turkey?
No good, I like it with filling, berries and served hot, probably grilled.

Lets see, a pipeline that was to run through Turkey to Europe that would not going to be functional for several years is scrapped and Turkey is going to freeze THIS winter due to gas they did not have previously and would not have had this winter anyway is not going to be there 10 years from now.

Turkey is/was a trading partner with Russia the same as many, many other countries. They will have economic shortfall from abandoned deals like Russia will, but it is not going to come to a economic collapse of the country.

Europe needs gas. South Stream got canceled because of pressure of the EU. SS also attract attention from certain alphabet agencies.
Will Germany expand even more on North Stream or will SS get a second life? Countries such as Germany, Austria and Hungary might pressure the EU to tone down their demands.
