Indeed,it's a nice family business.The main source of money feeding ISIS these days is the sale of Iraqi oil from the Mosul region oilfields and Syrian one from Al Qaim region where they maintain a stronghold. Erdoğan's son is the man who makes the export sales of ISIS-controlled oil possible with the tacit approval and support of the US.
One would also argue that Erdogan's decision to shoot the Russian plane down wasn't influenced by his concern for the well being of his fellow turks & bosnians or albanians fighting Assad in Syria but it was influenced by the fact that the Russian bombing has destroyed a virtually all his son's contraband business.I think the most positive effect of the shooting of the Russian plane is Putin's implicit warning that any hostile plane in Syria will be shot down.This is very good news for the Kurds because now they have the protection of the Russian air force.Moreover the Kurds will be laughing all the way to independence.

Russia has a strong case now to close the Syrian/Turkish border and to cut off funding and arms to terrorists. The sooner Syrian sovereignty is restored the better.

Turkey is just another of those troublemakers of the Balkans and Middle East. Time to put an end to it and also to start arming the Kurds so they can finally free themselves.
