They tell Serbia that we need to reform our judicial system and clean up corruption to have investment in the country... WHAT A LIE...let me explain....

China is rampant in corruption and its judicial system needs more reform then in Serbia, China has big problems with copy right protection... But yet China manages to be one of the biggest sources of foreign direct investment in the world and creates millions of jobs a year despite its corruption and backward judicial system... The EU do not know what they are talking about....!

Serbia is rebuilding just fine after the West inspired a civil war in Yugoslavia and destroyed much of its infrastructure in 1999 and surprisingly China is actually doing more for Serbia than any other country in the EU... The EU has been nothing but trouble for Serbia, blackmailing the nation for EU membership, and placing sanctions on Serbia which has not helped our economy...

Investments in Serbia will flow like the Danube river when sanctions are fully lifted and war reparations are paid to Serbia for the destruction caused by hitler in WWII and NATO in 1999 when they illegally attacked a sovereign nation and its innocent people...

In fact... China is investing billions of dollars in Serbia as we speak, and the Chinese do not mention corruption or judicial reform in Serbia... They just invest...

CLOSE IT! The only reason Serbia is being allowed to open these chapters right now is because the EU is nearing collapse. It's no surprise either that a potential candidate state would have the carrot hang even closer when the EU is in panic, looking for countries to 'host' migrants. I wish I could agree with you Nikola, but I've been here for 5 years and Serbia isn't really any better than when I arrived. Nepotism in employment is the fundamental problem and that seems to be rooted in the Balkan spirit. Customer service is truly appalling here and an average Serb manager has absolutely no concept of how to motivate staff. Small business owners are only interested in the monthly bottom line and place all their business strategy in the hands of their book-keeper. The schools are still following a farcical shift system so kids have to go to school at 7 in the morning and then until 19 in the evening the next week; they also study 15 subjects which is ridiculous. I'm sorry, it's not getting better.

Srbia will never ever be a member of EU.

Well, so far, China was doing more for China with its 'investments' in Serbia. Like the construction of that bridge, payed by a Chinese load, which was build mainly by Chinese construction workers imported.


P.S: I hope it will be better next time with the Smederevo steel mill which will be sold to a Chinese company. Time will tell if they really invest and create some additional jobs there, or at least secure the existing ones.
