Serbia would never close its border with Repulika Sprska.

When I go to Serbia I have to register with the local police within 24 hour. If I am a few hours late they make a great fuss and send for the Inspector to tell me off. When I leave the country I have to de-register. If I haven’t deregistered then the police at passport control give me hell. If, however, I just walked across the border with hundreds of thousands of Moslem and Third-World migrants, things would are very different. I could pass through Serbia without a visa or a passport or any identity papers whatsoever. I could stay as long as I wanted because no one bothers to track my progress across the country. Serbia still maintains national sovereignty and security at its airports, but it has surrendered both at its land borders. If Serbia wants to remain a sovereign nation, then it must re-establish control over its land borders. Once Serbia decides what it wants to do, then how it does it is a secondary issue. Borders can be controlled by more police and soldiers, by fences, by minefields, etc. If you want to have your borders respected then you must do whatever is required to protect them.

I'll say it too. Why would Serbia wall off RS? It is bad enough that there is some kind of nominal border between Serbia and Kosovo. If the Europeans were really concerned about security in the Balkans, they would put up a wall between Albania and Kosovo. There is nothing bad happening in Kosovo that isn't ten times worse in Albania.

Firstly the Balkan countries ( non eu ) are all poor because never benefited the founds that you and the rest benefited. The salaries in Alb. are ~ the same as in Srb – we breath a little just because we use our coin.
And I don’t know nothing about the salaries in Romania or how rich is Romania – all I know is that in Italy and in Uk – Romanians are the largest community of Emigrants from Balkan countries.
That Albania is poor country is not a mister – after the collapse of Albania ( after communism ) collapsed even the world economy so even though we are raising more fast than any other country still is not easy without the Eu funds.
BE was really generous with Greece, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and even MonteNegro ( because of the politics pro west ) – but with the others not.
We all are still doing all by ourselves.
Actually I have not any idea about the potentials of the Romania - of what Romania must achieve – I know the potentials of Albania with the biggest oil reserves, with the coast, with the strategic position..etc..etc – we have “all” – except the money.

Nikola Novakovic you forgot that Romania have most big procentage of house owners ( search in wikipedia ) and that all people at a moment remain with 2-3 apartaments from relatives . Many people don`t work and live from rent + here in Romania we always find a way or other for steal , recently even from Hungary .

As for Albania not just they are very pooor in all statistics , there is no development in grow of gdp , salaries , pensions , Albania having 150 euro minimum salary per month had reached it`s peak .

Actually, that is not true in Romania's case as the debt to GDP ratio is quite reasonable at 65%, lower than Serbia which is back up to close to 80%. Serbia continues to spend without any real GDP growth while debt rises. Bulgaria debt to GDP ratio is even lower. Investment may also be low in these countries, but at least they are showing fiscal constraint.

The Balkan economies in general have been stagnant other than Slovenia which posted some good GDP numbers but have hit hard times with increasing unemployment and slow GDP growth.

I am surprised that Romania has not shown more growth especially since they have quite a large oil and gas industry where the price of oil was trading at high levels for a long period of time until now. It say's a lot of mismanagement of resources and funds. You can include Azerbaijan in that equation as they still have huge oil reserves in Baku.

Tesla in fact did not learn much of anything from Edison, that is why he created the AC outlet, Edison's DC outlet was far less efficient. Edison did everything to discredit Tesla because the AC outlet was for more efficient and cost much less. Westinghouse supported Tesla financially but this was short live in terms of the resources that Tesla required for his inventions. Edison was concerned about making money, Tesla was concerned about seizing the power of the universe. That being said, his education, Serbian parents, Austrian education and short lived mentor Edison contributed to his growth as one of the greatest inventors the world has ever seen or will see.

Nikola Novakovic you forgot that Romania have most big procentage of house owners ( search in wikipedia ) and that all people at a moment remain with 2-3 apartaments from relatives . Many people don`t work and live from rent + here in Romania we always find a way or other for steal , recently even from Hungary .

As for Albania not just they are very pooor in all statistics , there is no development in grow of gdp , salaries , pensions , Albania having 150 euro minimum salary per month had reached it`s peak .

As for Serbia the individuals might be competitive but the coruption is to strong

Tesla in fact did not learn much of anything from Edison, that is why he created the AC outlet, Edison's DC outlet was far less efficient. Edison did everything to discredit Tesla because the AC outlet was for more efficient and cost much less. Westinghouse supported Tesla financially but this was short live in terms of the resources that Tesla required for his inventions. Edison was concerned about making money, Tesla was concerned about seizing the power of the universe. That being said, his education, Serbian parents, Austrian education and short lived mentor Edison contributed to his growth as one of the greatest inventors the world has ever seen or will see.

Actually, that is not true in Romania's case as the debt to GDP ratio is quite reasonable at 65%, lower than Serbia which is back up to close to 80%. Serbia continues to spend without any real GDP growth while debt rises. Bulgaria debt to GDP ratio is even lower. Investment may also be low in these countries, but at least they are showing fiscal constraint.

The Balkan economies in general have been stagnant other than Slovenia which posted some good GDP numbers but have hit hard times with increasing unemployment and slow GDP growth.

I am surprised that Romania has not shown more growth especially since they have quite a large oil and gas industry where the price of oil was trading at high levels for a long period of time until now. It say's a lot of mismanagement of resources and funds. You can include Azerbaijan in that equation as they still have huge oil reserves in Baku.

sorry, but where is the problem with borrowing? Even Tesla did that to finance his inventions... the ability to borrow and raise money in capital markets is what enabled US to go from a non-existent country to superpower, surpassing countries that had been around for much longer. I live on credit and I'm not suffering or living in a tent city. I would have never had a home and would be living in a tent city without borrowing.

Just because you don't like borrowing or if you are not able to borrow because a bank would not trust you that you have the ability to pay the money back, does not make borrowing bad!

By the way China is the largest investor in US debt but it only comes to between 8-10% of the US public debt.

Firstly the Balkan countries ( non eu ) are all poor because never benefited the founds that you and the rest benefited. The salaries in Alb. are ~ the same as in Srb – we breath a little just because we use our coin.
And I don’t know nothing about the salaries in Romania or how rich is Romania – all I know is that in Italy and in Uk – Romanians are the largest community of Emigrants from Balkan countries.
That Albania is poor country is not a mister – after the collapse of Albania ( after communism ) collapsed even the world economy so even though we are raising more fast than any other country still is not easy without the Eu funds.
BE was really generous with Greece, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia and even MonteNegro ( because of the politics pro west ) – but with the others not.
We all are still doing all by ourselves.
