That's odd, I was visiting Serbia this summer and I was obliged to show my passport. Do they only require this of Europeans or tourists? Or only if you're paying your own bill? Or if you're staying longer than 72 hrs? Why are there even borders if they have no meaning? Just being curious...

If you don't know, or can't know, we have to shut the border. Lets be proactive for once, instead of letting Germany use us and leave us holding the can when they close their border.

"Nobody can predict who will cross the border, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has been quoted as saying on Tuesday."

It's not your job to predict. Your job is to make sure that WE do know, who is allowed into Serbia and further to Europe. There should be minimum possible, with very good cause and of a good character who are willing to live and be assimilated even in Presevo. Others must go back within few days and asked for the payment of their stay.

If they can't pay, take away their personal belongings if of anything worth until they pay.

Such policy will make wonders. But be fair and inform the people ahead of time.

No politically correct "Willkommenskultur" please.
