barry, see theres the problem... bosniaks will never forget, and run the mantra of never forgive. serbians have also done the same with regards to the geoncide committed against her people in ww2... they didn't forget, they didn't forgive, that led to the most recent retaliatory atrocities. now, bosniaks that follow your matra are priming themselves for yet another episode of balkanesque retaliation. at some point it has to stop, at some point people-not politicians will make the decision to live in peace with each other again.
all the ethicities of the balkans have the exact same story about all the other ethnicities , just different time-lines.

Here's a link about the key roles that the Balkans had to play in the world affairs. They never had a chance to decide for themselves. Sorry but the article is available only in Russian.

Barry, same can be said about your hero Bakir regarding serbs, so why pretend. Seselj at least is honest. I can't imagine how painful it must be for a prideful fool like Izetbegovic even to talk to Vucic. I think in 2025 we all will probably learn to live with the status quo, although history proves that for almost 1000 years muslims and catholics have tried to wipe out orthodox christians from the Balkans.

Ned taylor : “current problems that are the result of anything other than their own leaders actions.”

You’re an idealist who forgets that there’s not a single European country whom the USA cannot impose their will. You also forget that 100% of the Balkan leaders outside Serbia are direct US puppets while their failed states are too weak to have a stance of their own. Despite the “glorious” history almost none of them had a statehood of their own before 20-21 centuries. So their elites were formed by the historical West last two decades. The elites are easily replaces as soon as they obtain a point of view of their own. So your theory is very weak. Balkans is the place where interests of the East, the West and the ME regional powers and civilizations come together. So peoples are damned to live in tense and conflicts. It may change only as a result of at least a ceasefire between the West and Russia. But we can see no signs of such a trend yet. So Balkan peoples are to live with it for decades. The only times when they lived more or less peacefully was 14-18 centuries when they were part of big empires the Great Horde and then the Great Porta or the Ottomans. But in early 19 century the Oldenburgs (UK, Russia, Prussia ect.) have destroyed the old order and since then we have never ending wars and contradictions here. Even the histories of the local states look as if they all live on different planets. So how are you going to make peace here?

Vucic is a fascist plain and simple. He would love to see the Bosniaks disappear from BiH. Anybody that states the murder of 100 Bosniaks to 1 Serb is sick, twisted and should be banned from even entering the Srebrenica area. We must never forget the Genocide committed by Serb forces on Bosnian soil.

It interests me to see and hear continual blaming of "foreign powers" for domestic disputes. Putin blames the West for problems in Ukraine, Erdogan blames outside influence for internal problems ;Assad blames the West for problems in Syria, Mugabe often refers to colonial powers interfering in his country and now we have (again) reference to Germany and the US as causing the problems in the Balkans. These problems pre-date the creation of the USA by many centuries and from my experience Balkan people need no help from anyone in order to start fighting with each other. It is time that people the world over realised that they must take responsibility for their own actions. I am not saying for a minute that the US does not stick its nose in to business that is not its own, but none of the areas I have mentioned has current problems that are the result of anything other than their own leaders actions.
