LDP, SDS formalize political alliance

The Social Democratic Party (SDS) and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) formalized their political alliance on Saturday.

If anything this will be the demise of the SDP headed by Tadic - surely he should have made bridges first and foremost with DS that he had been partly responsible for splitting.

DS are highly unlikely to join up and even if they did this hotch-potch of an alliance is likely to dilute rather than concentrate efforts in gaining electorates confidence. I guess Tadic & Co are hedging their bets that collectively such an alliance might make it through the 5% barrier though barely and in all likelihood would vote individually in Parliament and need the remnants of DS to ensure they get through the 5% barrier.
