In southern dialect "kos" is "drozd" indeed (Think Rostov-na-Donu or even more south). In parts of Ukraine the same thing.

But once you go north, than "drozd" prevails.

BTW: around Kastoria most monasteries are connected to Albanians and that was around 13th Century. However, Kastoria is at least 300(?) km from Kosovo.

On the other side, in Italy many still speak archaic Albanian. So it is IMO obvious.
Kosovo does not have any Albanian-related monument before 16th Century.

Kastoria has, I seen them. And in addition Greeks do not hide that. What does it tell?
Unfortunately no one cares about these monasteries around and in Kastoria, they are in horrific disrepair. And why Albanians do not complain?

In southern dialect "kos" is "drozd" indeed (Think Rostov-na-Donu or even more south). In parts of Ukraine the same thing.

But once you go north, than "drozd" prevails.

BTW: around Kastoria most monasteries are connected to Albanians and that was around 13th Century. However, Kastoria is at least 300(?) km from Kosovo.

On the other side, in Italy many still speak archaic Albanian. So it is IMO obvious.
Kosovo does not have any Albanian-related monument before 16th Century.

Kastoria has, I seen them. And in addition Greeks do not hide that. What does it tell?
Unfortunately no one cares about these monasteries around and in Kastoria, they are in horrific disrepair. And why Albanians do not complain?

This is an other thing - but here Kosovo's membership in UNESCO won't help Kastoria. Probobly just the opposite.

What resolution 1244 actually says...

5. What is says is the people of Kosovo... Not the Albanians of Kosovo... Can enjoy autonomy within Yugoslavia... Now everyone recognises who Yugoslavia is at the time this agreement was reached... It is Serbia, beograde who made the deal...

Resolution 1244 says nothing about independence... Only substantial autonomy within Serbia... Now can you see where the problem is, can you see why Russia is upset with the Americans for backstabbing the Serbs...

As far as the United Nations, Serbia and its allies are concerned, Kosovo is and will remain a part of Serbia forever...

Since we are so kind and loving, we will give you autonomy as we agreed...

Wrong. Resolution 1244 is obsolete since Kosvo had a referendum and voted for independence and declared it in 2008. Meanwhile over 120 countries have recognised Kosovo and UN recognition is only blocked by Russia. Well, its just a matter of time because your one and only friend cant back you for any longer. Do you know that German, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Tukey, etc have a meaning in English? So what?
The Tosk dialect is not spoken in Toskana, you are misinformed - it is spoken in Calabria where live Albanian descendants.
Albanian and latin languages are to to different.

Albanian language is unique in world. We share some word from latin as much as Brits and Greeks share it to - all the countries which were in contact with Romans share latin words.

Kos - mean yogurt
Kose - mean scythe (mow down) – you will find a lot of other meanings.
