If the Serbs fire on Croatia they are starting a war with a NATO country, therefore, with all NATO countries. Grobar1, you may be too young to remember what happened to Serbia in 1999 when it defied NATO and got itself bombed for 78 horrific days and nights. Take a walk to downtown Belgrade and see what happened to MUP headquarters. Need I say more.

Serbia should stop allowing the migrants to flood in faster than its neighbors will accept them.
Serbia is doing nothing but enabling this illegal flood.
Of course the EU and the UN seem to support and encourage it, but the easier Serbia and others before it make this route, the more it will be used.
It will be endless. There are 100s of millions of people in the middle east and Africa who can be enticed to believe they can get EU benefits by merely joining in this trek.
Already it is causing severe political problems with the neighbors and has cause an ugly fence all along Serbia's northern border.
The latest is that wildlife is getting killed or seriously injured due to this razor fence.
Yet another cost of these greedy economic migrants, the Turkish smugglers who advertise on social media, and the EU passive-aggressive policy on them.

Serbia needs to at least restrict the inflow to prevent these bottlenecks inside Serbia.

The Serbian response was appropriate. Shooting at the Croats would be the beginning of a crisis that would ignite major problems for everyone. Very rarely does killing people solve problems, even if the people are idiots.

My view changed radically because I see that only few percent of these people are genuine refugees, the majority are adventurers at best.

Still, even the adventurers deserve to be treated with dignity (and being very politely put on a military transport airplane and flown home).

We just started to recover from the mess and the road ahead is very long. Than, they came and for many people ruined the 2015.

Diplomacy tango is one thing. The other thing is that it became apparent, the police is not trained to deal with thousands of violent young thugs. Similar police stupidity already happened on Hungarian-Serbian and Hungarian-Croatian border.

Serbia can't solve it. Not even Germany or Sweden can solve it.
Me think, at least temporarily the U.S. army stationed not far from Presevo (all we know where!) should be involved and relieve the area at least partly.

Their help is badly needed - now. Earlier or later that farce will spill out to the rest of Balkans. Even now is way to much. Later they will be involved anyway, so better now than later.

As horrible it is, you are right. The number of real refugees is astonishingly low.
There isn't any terrorist danger, I think. And way to many petty criminals.

However... how long does it take for a petty criminal to turn into a terrorist?
