Dear Peggy,

The funds that built Kosovo/a did not come from Serbia during the Yugoslavian era. You can look at numerous statistics and see that the majority of the funds came from Slovenia and Croatia to fund both Kosovo/a and Macedonia. The funds that were sent to build these two regions caused much contention in the Yugo parliament and governing bodies and republics and provinces as each were equal under the constitution.

So please use your brain and look up info and see where the DINARS came from to support the building of Kosovo/a (including Macedonia).

Taking credit for others support (other republics) seems to be a habit from you Peggy. Slovenia and Croatia also helped build Serbia as well including Vojvodina.

otherwise your post is just trash!

It depends on when those things were built but they are still built on Serbian land. Kosovo is still legally part of Serbia.

Statistically the majority of the population is Albanian so how is it possible that Serbs built everything in Kosovo/a? Use your brain for crying out loud.

I can understand why YOU would think it was a silly thought, people often call things above their comprehension level as "silly"!
As far as what you call the usurpation of private property you are wrong on 2 counts.
1. You and Serbia differ on the Ski Resort being private property:
"Government: Brezovica is Serbia's property

The Serbian government warned potential investors on Thursday that the Brezovica Ski Center in southern Kosovo-Metohija is in the ownership of Serbia"

2. Countries routinely usurp property for public use, it is called eminent domain in the US, compulsory purchase, compulsory Acquisition, resumption and expropriation in other major countries.
Where did you think the land to build south stream was going to come from in Serbia, by it usurping the private farms and homes of its citizens.
Now "mafia state" it is rather humorous to hear a Serb speak of another place being a mafia state considering not only the corruption level in Serbia but the known association of your Foreign Minister/Interior Minister's(who controls the police) with a chief organized crime boss.
Last the Serbs who fled Kosovo did so for 2 main reasons; they were in fear of arrest and trial for war crimes they committed and those who feared retaliation from their neighbor Albanians who came to claim that property and possessions that the Serbs stole when the Albanians were driven or burned out of their homes.

"Of course for arbitration both sides must agree to having a decision rendered, it would be in Kosovo's interest to force them to file in court. This would give an international ruling on the whether Kosovo is a state or not.
(just a thought, 16 October 2015 18:47)

Yes, just a thought, but a silly one. What has private property/ownership to do with statehood? Well, in a way, you are right, it would confirm Kosovo's international position of a mafia state when a self-proclaimed state tries to usurp and confiscate (or should I simply say: steal) private property? But what do you expect from a state build by persons who promised the freedom fighters houses and appartments previously owned by Serbs who have been killed, expelled or forced to flee to avoid being killed?

Ohh

pre 8 godina

"The three parties are contesting a decision by the authorities in Pristina concerning expropriation of Ski Centre Brezovica property for the construction of a 'Tourist Center Brezovica'."

And you wonder why no one is willing to invest a state where property can be expropriated and given to some Kosovo Albanian mafia company by authorities (probably belonging to the same mafia group)?

This isn't an issue of statehood; it's an issue of property ownership. Besides, Kosovo is a very poor area, and the current population can ill afford hobbies like skiing, which are very expensive. Hopefully, the court will agree with the Serb owners. I'd like to ski there myself.

(the truth, 16 October 2015 16:13)

That's something Albanians would do. Surprised they haven't done it already. Surprised they haven't tried to argue Brooklyn is ancient Illyrian territory. Fact is, Brezovica is in Strpce. Strpce is part of ZSO. ZSO is autonomous, which is why Albanian in Pristina are trying to steal it before ZSO is established. They tried this with Trepca and failed. They tried this with Gazivoda and failed. Now they're trying it with Brezovica and will fail. Looks like they'll have to bring in tourism though whatever ugly gaudy nightclubs are in Pristina. But they know the best parts of Kosovo are Serbian while the ugliest and poorest are Albanian.

Of course for arbitration both sides must agree to having a decision rendered, it would be in Kosovo's interest to force them to file in court. This would give an international ruling on the whether Kosovo is a state or not.

kiko

Sad thing if Serbia has to go to Paris to resolve an "internal issue" (property rights and law). If you do this then it brings into question is Kosovo/a part of Serbia proper or not? If it is then it is an internal issue, but if it is not then it can rightly go to Paris for arbitration.

Indirectly recognizing Kosovo/a as a separate territory. I wonder who's bright idea this was? Probably a lawyers recommendation. A lot of people in Kosovo/a will be happy.
