How quickly they forget...500 yrs ago the Ottomans began a quest to destroy the Christian world, attacking areas Albania and Bosnia. It took the locals "2 seconds" to give their sons to the Ottoman Janissary Corps, and return to their homes to fight 400 years pillaging, murdering and trying to destroy the Kingdom of Serbia and the Serbian population- with no help from the Roman Catholic Empire they were protecting. In London, 1912 the European national leaders met and agreed 1) That the Kingdom of Serbia was a recognized political entity and 2)that The independent Kingdom of Serbia should be protected from aggressive neighbors a little better than it had been. Then came Hitler and again using Croatian and Albanian soldiers terrorized Serbia. In 1992, using NATO forces of Europe once again the Christian forces of Western Europe did their "Crusade" against Eastern Orthodox Christians, violating their own 1912 Treaty. Well, guess what, you got another Ottoman invasion and now you have no Serbian wall to protect you. Good luck with that. Get your Moslem prayer rugs handy and prepare to have your towns and cities gutted again by terrorists. I seriously doubt that Serbia or Hungary is going to come to your rescue yet again after being deceived twice now. I AM deeply ashamed that it was US Pres. Clinton that spearheaded this last atrocity on the Serbian people. I fully plan to work and ensure that Mrs. Clinton doesn't get the chance to continue this outrage begun by her husband.

What a total bunch of BS note capitalized.
1. Albanians are not trying to claim Serbian UNESCO sites for their own. The sites (4) are already listed as being in Kosovo with a message of the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia. They will forever be listed as Serbian Orthodox structures and property.
2. There are no nonSerb sites listed in Kosovo due to the fact that only Serbia could have them listed since Kosovo is a non-member and we know Serbs would have died before they would have listed an "Albanian" site.
3.UNESCO is a whole lot more than these 4 sites.
4. IF destruction of cultural heritage is a premise for admission, Serbia should be expelled due to their actions in the 90's in not only Kosovo but the rest of Yugo.

As far as your stating Greece never recognizing Kosovo as a fact just gave it a 99% probability rating that Greece will recognize, probably soon as that is about your accuracy rate on what is factual and what is not.
ISIS has only replaced OSOS in the world of terrorism and destruction.
(Orthodox State of Serbia)Seems like only yesterday we were seeing the reports on the daily news of how Serbia was going through the various regions of Yugoslavia, murdering, torturing, raping and destroying mosques and churches.

UNESCO stands for Education, Science & Culture.

Albanians are not trying to claim the Serbian Orthodox monasteries as their own. Kosova has been clear that the monasteries will always remain property of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Hadrian's Wall in the UK was built by the Romans, does UK membership in UNESCO mean that UK is claiming Italy's cultural heritage as its own? No, of course it doesn't. UNESCO means a lot more than four monasteries in Kosova, what about all the other cultural buildings, places and mountains in Kosova? Why hasn't Serbia decided to designate any of them as World Heritage Sites? Also UNESCO is more than just World Heritage Sites, it is about promoting education, science and culture in general. Kosova's membership will give Kosova a greater obligation to safeguard the monasteries in Kosova. Let me remind you that Serbia, not UNESCO, designated the four monasteries as World Heritage Sites only in 2004. Serbia hasn't even designated the Kalemegdan as a World Heritage Site, so what does that say about Serbia and culture? This is just political on Serbia's behalf. Serbia only joined UNESCO in 2000, a little over a year after Serbian military and paramilitary forces destroyed/ damaged half of the Mosques in Kosova. What does this say about Serbia and culture?

Never is a very long time and Greece already de facto recognizes and treats us as separate to Serbia, do you honestly believe that Greece will "never" recognize Kosova?

This is a blatant violation of Brussels. Serbia said it would not do anything to block or encourage others to block kosovos eu path and Germany has said unesco is on kosovos eu path. Only thing that makes sense is eu sanctions on Serbia.

Kosovo's UNESCO membership is a very dangerous precedent to make because it also opens to question the very idea of what UNESCO stands for. If the vote is in the positive then everything is on the table and nothing is safe anymore.
Here we have Albanians trying to claim Serbian cultural heritage sites as their own, but surely if their claim to Kosovo is as old as time they would have already had something on UNESCO’s register, something they built or even cave paintings – no? Put all those claims that Albanians have lived in Kosovo since the dawn of humanity to question.
On the issue of Vucic asking Greece to vote against membership is normal diplomacy and all those articles about Greece helping Kosovo is nonsense, absolute nonsense since they were only mentioned in the media which printed half truths based on rumour. Greece will never recognise Kosovo and that is a fact.

This must have been an awkward phone conversation for Vucic. Lets take a look at some of the events between Greece and Serbia over summer.
