If angelic Assad did nothing to cause an insurgency, there would be nothing for the internationals to back against his regime...
(icj1, 30 September 2015 03:41)

E Snowden's link clearly states that the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009,well before the insurgency happened. If you cannot understand what Snowden then perhaps you should consider another publication with a lower reading age.
(Leonidas, 30 September 2015 11:06)

You missed the point mate! Even if "E Snowden's link clearly states that the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009", why were there rebels in the first place for US to train if angelic Assad did nothing to cause people to rebel?! Why there are no rebels for somebody to train in, say, Canada? There are some obvious truths but obviously people like you can't accept truths that conflict with the myths in your head!

But anyway, please provide the link that clearly states that "the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009".

"In the area of Kosovo and Metohija 236 churches, monasteries and other buildings owned by the Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as cultural and historical monuments, have been the target of attacks," Dacic said, adding that of these 61 have the status of cultural monuments, and 18 are of exceptional importance for the state of Serbia.

He said that 174 religious sites and 33 cultural and historical monuments have been destroyed in Kosovo, and more than 10,000 icons, ecclesiastical art and liturgical objects stolen"

Reading the above it sounds like Ivica is providing all arguments why Kosovo should become part of UNESCO since one of the UNESCO's goal is the protection of heritage....

The line has been drawn in the sand, Syria, Iran, Russia and China on one side, the US/UK/France/Saudi/Qatar &Turkey on the other. To say Assad is to blame for this internationally backed insurgency against his regime is to massively underestimate the power politics of the west and their puppet dictators in the region.

(Zoran, 29 September 2015 21:20)

Oh, please, we've heard the most outlandish theories of why the US bombed Serbia, from the creation of terrorists like you say above, to the Bondsteel affair or the crusade of the Roman Empire against the Eastern Orthodox as some lunatic in these forums repeats day and night.

All that outlandish stuff that makes no sense to avoid some much simpler explanation... After Milosevic caused havoc in Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia, Kosovo was lucky that finally the US and Europe decided that it was time to stop him with the use of force as apparently that was the only language that Milosevic could understand. Not for love of the Albanians in Kosovo, but because God knows where Milosevic would have stopped and then the US and Europe would have had to spend much more blood and money to clean up an even bigger mess - remember Munich!!!

NATO was the air force of KLA terrorists, which the OSCE described as such and even the US at one stage. The US and terrorists go hand in hand these days, each supporting the other. Spreading democracy with terror.

Drawing Russia as completely alligned with Iran against the US is complicated by the fact that Obama has handed Iran a nuclear weapons program and ended the sanctions regime that restrained Iran's global terrorism.

Iran is only marginally alienated from ISIS by the fact that ISIS is a Sunni state and Iran is Shiite. If this difference were not true, there would most certainly be an allignment, if not consolidation, of territories between Iran and ISIS. This remains a possibility and looms as a threat to the RF which sees Chechnyans making contributions to the spreading of ISIS.

Assad and the original Muslim Syrians are Alawites, a sect within the Shiite schism. It is only the past twenty years that have seen a population explosion among the Sunni and the fallout from this calculated child bearing explosion is what the real "migrant" issue is all about. The Sunnis got their demographic power shift, but at the expense of bankrupt economy and war. The Alawites are now a minority in a ravaged state. For the RF to come in and support Assad is a real gamble that Iran itself will not cut Assad loose.

Israel is indeed a wild card in all this. There is still a potential for Israel to attack Iran's nuclear weapons program. What will the RF do if it does? Israel needs to respond to provocations from Iran's presence in Syria across the Syrian-Israeli border. And what role does the RF intend to play in the fake Palestinian Nationalist psychodrama?

"The Russian president added that the fate of Syrian President should be decided by the Syrian people, not the leaders of the United States or France."

And how exactly will the Syrian people decide who their President is when they can't even vote for their President like a normal country? Syria is a dictatorship that is run by the son of a previous dictator, who are ethnic minority Alawite Shiites. It is not a democratic state and the people can not make that decision. That is why the majority Sunni (>60%) population revolted to begin with. It is only Russia deciding to prop Assad up against the will of the majority of Syrians who oppose him.

The only reason Putin attended the meeting at the UN was to try to get Western sanctions lifted, by appearing he was concerned over ISIS and thereby expressing (feigned) interest to join the West in their fight against ISIS. In this way he thought he could weasel his way into the good graces of the West, hoping he would con his way into dividing the West on their position on sanctions. Putin is too proud and admit that sanctions are crushing the Russian economy, but, in fact, it is exactly what he is doing and is hoping he can deceive the West by focusing on ISIS. However, his help is neither wanted or needed by the West in fighting ISIS. However, he could offer to take some of the refugees, but knows they would laugh at him since why would they want go to Russia, a country where living conditions are much worse than they are accustomed.
Basically, Putin made a fool of himself at the UN and showed how desperate he is to get Western sanctions lifted.

Obama told Putin that the United States believes there will be no stabilization of the situation as long as Bashar al-Assad is in power.

Indeed,he's not as good a "dictator" as all the other dictators in the ME the West have never had any problem doing business with.Since before day one of this conflict the West and its "allies" in the Gulf and Turkey have only ever had one plan for Syria - regime change. Looks like Putin hit the nail on the head there. Those exporting democracy with bombs, instability and destruction are attempting to influence the world's most powerful person, president Putin, with regime change of a democratic and legitimate government. The US has become a joke in the world's eyes.

Islamic State, created by the US, trained by the US and armed with US weapons, a terrorist organisation, seem to be fine with the US and their media when they were slaughtering Syrians, beheading them and spreading fear across the Middle East.

However, when they started to do the same to Westerners then they become a problem. When the fear became too much that millions started fleeing their homes and became refugees in the West, now it's a bigger problem. This is the version of Democracy the US and the West are exporting.

So now they need the world's most powerful person, President Putin, to help but think they can still dictate terms? LOL! The US is going down and rightly so, after causing so much instability in the world.

Go home Yankees and allow the world to heal!

One thing that Satan forgot is that by becoming a fallen angel he also became mortal but God will live into infinity! In the West they are all looking and studying every move Russia makes, just like a fine chess game. Czar Vlade with angels on his shoulders and in the shadow of God behind him! Russia today the most sophisticated and powerfull military on earth! So now we all in the world march on to our destiny, those who follow the Devil good bye and those who follow God hello. God Bless Russia and God Bless Czar Vlade!!!

The Russian president added that the fate of Syrian President should be decided by the Syrian people, not the leaders of the United States or France.

The plan was to follow Libya with a bogus R2P no fly zone that would morph into the rebel air force, as in Libya but Russia and China were not to be fooled again.

Once again Putin proved is one of the very few International leaders undeterred from speaking the truth. The only people that can decide the fate of Assad are the Syrians themselves. No wonder Washington hates him so much.

I think Obama said he was willing to work WITH Putin to solve the Syrian crisis, but no where have I seen (even in Russian news) that he has solicited their help. (I speak for the world, lol!, 29 September 2015 12:27)

As well as Putin did. He just offered to join the forming coalition and sanction the operation in UNSC. Seems that the fate of IS\Al Qaeda is more or less clear now. No matter if the US will try to save them or not.

After the bombing of Serbia for 78 days your leaders still say how important it is to have a good relationship with the US.

Well, I'm glad that's your only criticism, that I speak for the world. LOL! I do watch more than just CNN and BBC.

There is no denying that the US supports and creates terrorists all over the world. That's why they bombed Serbia for 78 days, NATO was the air force of KLA terrorists, which the OSCE described as such and even the US at one stage. The US and terrorists go hand in hand these days, each supporting the other. Spreading democracy with terror.

Boy do you have that wrong! The message sent on March 24, 1999 was Dear God we will not be stopped by the unholy and will prevent the massacre of your masses. The US led the mission to put down the evil Milosevic and his army of satan. We helped to squish the soldiers that were blessed by unholy priests. But as the Bible teaches there are many false prophets in the world. I am sure you can include yourself in that group.

E Snowden's link clearly states that the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009,well before the insurgency happened. If you cannot understand what Snowden then perhaps you should consider another publication with a lower reading age.

You missed the point mate! Even if "E Snowden's link clearly states that the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009", why were there rebels in the first place for US to train if angelic Assad did nothing to cause people to rebel?! Why there are no rebels for somebody to train in, say, Canada? There are some obvious truths but obviously people like you can't accept truths that conflict with the myths in your head!

But anyway, please provide the link that clearly states that "the US started training rebels in order to expel Assad back in 2009".
