Greeks use this refugee crisis as a leverage to extort more money, how low can you go Leonidas. If Serbia would behave like Greece than they would close Macedonian border. Serbs should stop living in dreamland and adopt realpolitik.

The highest form of ignorance is when one utters something he doesn't know anything about. As to date Greece hasn't received any funds from the EU for the simple reason that Greece didn't have in place an immigration service capable of registering 200000 immigrants in a month alone.Have you ever thought of the logistics of such operation?Where are local authorities going to get the money to help the refugees when the government has cut funding? What houses are they going to get, when we have none for our own people? What jobs are the refugees going to get when we have none for our own people? What schools are they going to use when our teachers are leaving and our schools are oversubscribed?
Troll on.

You stole money from others
srbas,
I find your comment very amusing" the Greeks stole money from others".You mean Greece borrowed money from others at extortionate rates of interest and as a result made countries and people like the German bankers very happy indeed.
and now expect rest of theworld to pay for your refugee problem as well.
Very funny indeed. You mean the world refugees are Greece's problem.Let me enrich your ignorance with the definition of a refugee. The Geneva Convention on Refugees states: "A person may be called an`asylum seeker´ until considered with the status of `refugee´by the Contracting State where they formally make a claim for sanctuary or right of asylum." Most of them have not formally made a claim in Turkey,Lebanon or Jordan were they were re-settled.Greece has already paid a high price for the immigrant problem a s a result of falling tourism revenues and the allocation of resources(coastguard, police, camps, transport)to deal with the problem.
The real culprit in the whole affair is the German chancellor Merkel. She has made a catastrophic mistake with the refugees. One minute saying all welcome, then closing the German borders. She should be impeached/forced out over this migrant crisis. Her comments have been a disgrace. She causes the crisis by saying there's no upper limit to numbers, then threatens other European countries over their handling of the crisis she started. She has caused an absolute disaster for her own country and Europe.

Because Serbia is a poor country not least of which because the billions in damage caused by NATO bombardment. I didn't say they were given luxury treatment, I said that Serbian society is more hospitable and less xenophobic than Hungary and Croatia. It is a fact that the migrants have not had the kinds of problems in Serbia as they have in Hungary or already started experiencing in Croatia after just one day.

I don't think however it should be the problem of these countries to deal with this at all except for a fast track to Northern Europe. Your NATO's masters created this mess in the Middle East. They should deal with it, not Eastern Europe. But take it up with them.

Yes Ari, it must be paradise for them to be placed on those old JNA baracks and be fed with soup that tastes like urine. Here is a question for you, if they love Serbia so much than why do they want to leave.

Croatia could handle one day of migrants. Serbia has been dealing with 2000 migrants every day for over a year. Croatia and Hungary could learn a lot from Serbia's humanism and compassion.

Leonidas, you greeks are thd worst. You stole money from others and now expect rest of theworld to pay for your refugee problem as well. It is good that Croatia and Hungary close their borders and Austria started to limit access to their country. Now let us hope Slovenia does the same.

One has got to love that waste-of-space pen pusher UN secretary Ban Ki -Moon. Shocked and appalled but he has no suggestions to make –apart from criticising individual countries-and has overseen an appallingly useless response from the UN.He has in effect abdicated all his responsibilities as laid out in the UN charter.
