Refugees hold peaceful protest, shout "thank you, Serbia"

This migrant crisis has proven that Serbia is the most democratic, progressive and humanist country in the region. Even the farthest of right wingers in Serbia have no protested against the migrants but rather the Serbian government for providing an open door and the EU for not allowing the migrants into their intended destinations. No xenophobia or hatred towards these people despite the fact that Serbs have been fighting Islamist aggression and imperialism for centuries.

Makes me very proud. Serbia is of course the most ethnically diverse country in the region and when you compare the reception these migrants received in Serbia with what they have been experiencing in Hungary or WILL experience from the Ustashe in Croatia, it is really clear who the most "European" country in the region is.

Hungary showing its nasty side and being a typical EU member. Exactly, as one refugee asked "where are human rights?". This is the two faced EU, talking about what is right but doing what is wrong.

These refugees are leaving their war torn countries and seeking some kind of normality. They are passing through the Balkans to reach western and northern European countries, where they will have greater opportunities.

Lets not forget that those very European countries, as members of NATO, are the reason those refugees are fleeing terrorists. NATO is largely responsible for the chaos in this world and supporting terrorists everywhere.

However, the benefit is that now it is clear to all, what kind of modern age settlers are invading Europe, having a total disrespect to our laws and values, not excepting the rules of the game, using violence if we, the host countries do not jump as they whistle.

The government is asking the people to help them, to feed them and to provide shelter (room in their apartments). The people have responded positively as we sense these poor families are looking for some kind of normality.

I feel compassion both for the Europeans and the refugees. All sides involved found themselves in an uncomfortable situation while the real guilty is distantly enjoying the scenes. It sounds cynic but peoples of the former Ottoman Empire are “reuniting”. Lest guilty are the Arabs and Kurds from Syria, Libya and Iraq whose houses were destroyed. Second big guilty is Turkey sponsoring the evacuation to Europe. Turkish leaders blinded with their Imperial mentality tried to return their backyard Syria and destabilized this prospering country. Now they avenge Europe for not joining them in their strive to a land operation. Russia accepted 2,5 million of refugees from Ukraine and 500 000 of them receive monthly aid. But Russia is a well centralized country that always helped us in critical moments. In WW2 German companies earned money on the war so Russian arms were much cheaper. Same with the refugees Russia has a complex solution of the refugees problem. 37 000 long vehicle trucks with humanitarian aid sent to Donbass stopped the refugees’ flood. So I think the Balkan leaders should meet each other and seek for joint solution. Because the West does not consider Balkan peoples as pure Europeans. They see not much difference between the Serbians the Syrians the Shqiptars and the Kurds I think. So Balkan peoples should talk to Brussels as a united front. Those who bombed and imposed their will must pay for everything.

I, too, need to underscore that Russia took millions of Ukrainians this year as refugees, many are ethnic Ukrainians.

However let me be the devil's advocate.

The Russian refugee distribution system did work extremely well, in some cases at the customs booth the Ukrainians were told where to go (where are vacant job positions, housing, schools). In some cases the children even were assigned to schools just to minimize the days they would miss.

Of course Ukrainians have different mentality than the "Pakistan Zindabad Allah Akbar" crowd attacking the police... And Ukrainian refugees are typically not "armed" with iPhone 6.
