"If Germany decides Serbia has to hosts hundreds of thousands of Syrian, Afghan, Iraqi etc. refugees (in addition to hundreds of thousands of ethnically cleaned from Croatia, Kosovo & Bosnia) if it want to have a snow ball's chance in hell of joining the EU, what is Belgrade going to do?"

The Serbian government hurts Serbia while trying to please the EU. The leadership won't act to protect Serbia's interest and the Serbian people and seal off the border with Macedonia and stop the trains. All the other countries facing the flood are taking measures or pre-measures.
Only Greece and Macedonia aren't since they have no problems pushing it to the next country.
But Serbia is being blocked all around and will be stuck with them if it doesn't act and stop waiting on the EU which is being very silent. Serbia must act on its own to do what's best for it.

The EU despises Serbia and only gets it to do what is in the EU's own interest and agenda.

"According to Stefanovic,"one set of rules cannot apply to Serbia and another to other countries," while Serbia "cannot accept that as an answer."

They've been doing that for years. How is it that Belgrade has only just noticed? Face it, if Jermany says "Jump", Belgrade will say "How many centimeters?".

Both the EU institutions, Jermany & their friends have applied the rule very loosely for their friends, and very strictly for their enemies.

If Germany decides Serbia has to hosts hundreds of thousands of Syrian, Afghan, Iraqi etc. refugees (in addition to hundreds of thousands of ethnically cleaned from Croatia, Kosovo & Bosnia) if it want to have a snow ball's chance in hell of joining the EU, what is Belgrade going to do?
