That not mean that Albanians didn't win medals!
For 50 years or more Albania was a closed country. We have just 20 years of democracy, and in fact there are at least 4 Albanians who give to Greece gold medals. And there are Albanians in EU who compete for other countries - just because my "stupid" country did not treat them as they deserve.
I judge them as traitors - but in fact i was wrong - those deserve more than a 300 - 400 euro salary - and other countries treat them as they deserve.
I feel bad any time that i see an Albanian which raise another flag not ours but i'm even glad. There are all around the EU - for Norway, Sweden, Germany etc.. etc.
3 - Albanians give to Greece many medals - after the collapse of Albania.
Mirela Manjani ( world record )
Pirro Dhima - 1/2 Greek origin in fact
Luan Shabani
Luan Krasniqi - Germany
Etc..etc..
If you check you will be surprised of how many achievement Albanians have all around the world even in music, art, science, cinematography..etc..., even though we are not to many in numbers.
Yes - is to bad, and it hurt, that them compete for other countries - but we are a poor country and they deserve much more. Anyway i'm proud of them!

Where is Croatian Canadian these days? I distinctly remember him saying on this forum that Croats have dominated Serbs throughout history.

His absence shouldn't surprise anyone though. He has never been able to back up anything that he has said whether it be related to history, politics and now sports.

I know you're reading this CC. Looks like you're forced to eat your words again. How does it taste? HA,HA!

There is no doubt that Serbia is good in sports.

But this doesn't give the license to kill, rape and exterminate others in Balkan.

Kudos to Djokovic !

The sheer dominance of Serbian athletics this past summer has been unprecedented for such a small country. U-20 FIFA World Cup, multiple medals in waterpolo, volleyball, basketball (women's), and SOO much more I am actually forgetting about.

Now Djokovic said that he is on his way to France to support the Serbian men's basketball team as they compete for gold at the EuroBasket 2015. Serbia is undefeated at that tournament too.

Great time to be a Serb. Actually it's always a great time to be a Serb, but now especially. If only Serbia had the same quality government as they have athletics.

Arise Serbia and let your children see your face, make them turn their hearts and eyes on you. You fell asleep long ago and have lain in the dark, now wake up so that the land and sea may recognize you again. Show the world your deligtful face, as bright and cheerful as that of Danice. Who doesn't love you, he isn't afraid of God from whom much help arrives your way. Far away countries and islands and seas, they all want Heavens help to you. All good souls are joyful for you!!!

I'm curious, how did the albanian players go in the US open? Oh that's right, their only good at terrorism, organised crime and organ trafficking.

Shame Serbia has a chance to shine and make the world forget its ugly past and someone has to bring to reality the true nature of its citizens. B92, while I say freedom of the press is important, please delete these posts and do not stain the spotlight of this truly unique sportsman.

Well done Nole! A true Serb and a gentleman! Even when the crowd is against him, it only makes him stronger. A mentally and physically strong athlete!
