Anti-Corruption Council against Telekom sale

The Anti-Corruption Council has recommended to the government on Tuesday to "avoid selling Telekom Srbija at this point."

Here's what you do 1) Fire the installed political party shills "running" the company 2) Hire an outside professional(s) to manage and restructure the company 3) Issue an IPO in 2-4 years 4) List on the stock exchange. Done.

"Telekom's net gain could be significantly higher if Telekom conducted business more rationally and transparently, the Council said."

And it's net gain would be significant lower if this state monopolist would offer competitive rates instead of ripping of the customers! Calls from, for example, Germany to Serbia (landline) cost about 6-8ct/minute, while calls to Slovenia, Croatia are less than 1ct/minute. Only calls to Bosnia are more expensive. It's ridiculous. Probably calls from Serbia to other countries are way too expensive as well.
