Putin also promised to militarily defend Serbia if and why it decides to provoke a conflict with NATO members Albania and Croatia.

"Putin promised last fall to open the way to more imports of Fiats made in Serbia, but it doesn't look like much has moved on this front.
Serbia needs to be more proactive."

Not surprising, neither, since Russian car sales collapsed by about 40%.

P.S: Putin promised South Stream, too. I wouldn't give anything for his promises - especially not giving away NIS for peanuts.

Yes, no wonder. Russia is in deep depression, negative economic growth of about 4%, Russian ruble is devaluating more and more every day, inflation is up to 10+ %, oil price is falling (and Russia only gets money from exporting oil and gas), and you really expect exports to Russia to grow? Absurd.

No wonder. The Serbian Government said they wont subsidize Serbian companies to export to Russia. Normally I am against over government involvement in the economy, but this is such a huge opportunity staring Serbia in the face. At a time when Europe cannot export to Russia, Serbia has an open door to take all of that business and when Russians are aware of the high quality food that comes from Serbia, they will continue with it even after sanctions are lifted.

But I forgot, EU has no alternative and is more important than oxygen. Can't upset the masters in Berlin and Brussels.
