Serbia has recognized insurance from "sovereign and independent republic of Kosovo" that's what all the insurance companies in Kosovo Are registered as.

"It is a good agreement for Serbia, it allows them to save face, say "see Kosovo is still inside Serbia, if it were outside, they would pay insurance like all foreign cars".

Do foreign cars, for example from Austria or France, have to pay insurance in Serbia? I think not, this agreement is about mutual recognizing car insurance from Serbia and Kosovo.

Is this all the controversy was about? LOL. Come on Djuric, it can't be that all those meetings have only been about paying or not the insurance. What else was agreed there? :).

It is a good agreement for Serbia, it allows them to save face, say "see Kosovo is still inside Serbia, if it were outside, they would pay insurance like all foreign cars". But then there will be less money coming in, but they can get some of it but cutting the pensions in Belgrade. Or reducing spending in Serbia proper.

Does the insurance also cover damage to windshields, paint, tires, etc. due to stone throwing if I would go south of Mitrovica with my BG license plates? A plus of people traffickers as well.

“This seemingly small step in the process is actually of great importance for all citizens of Republic of Kosova who will be able to travel less expensively and with more dignity. Citizens will be able to cross the border with Kosova in both directions without paying vehicle insurance charges, but also without frustration over several kilometer long lines at border crossings,“ Djuric
