Agreed. It was a courageous move (although the alternative - apparently some Security Council Tribunal - was worse.

We'll see what outcome takes place and what effect it has in this Odyssey.

I think you and I both know that there was nothing courageous about it they were forced into the situation, not from fear of the UNSC but the fear of losing western support, which is the only way Kosovo stands today.
None of those voting for the tribunal believes their heros are guilty, with exception of the Serb parties.
The UNSC had very little chance of enacting a tribunal, as the EU would have stepped in and it would have been handed to them to deal with the issue. Any type of mandated international tribunal would have had to look at all sides of criminal responsibility and not just from the KLA, which would have reopened the cases the numerous mass graves that have been uncovered along with the acts to keep them from being uncovered by the Serbian govt.
I fully support the prosecution of any person who committed acts of violence against innocent victims of the war, no matter which side they were on, but I do oppose focusing only on Albanians when there is still so much that Serbia has to answer for.
I say this or any tribunal should focus on ALL war crimes committed in Kosovo, would you not agree.

The quality of any court is only as good as the evidence it judges. As demonstrated by the Clowns at the ICTY circus, a laughably abhorrent standard of evidence was required to admit incompetent, inept, and politically driven prosecution.
That yet another court is now being established without solving the problem of establishing an independent, effective and unbiased investigative and prosecutorial branch, will only expand the number of idiotic clowns masquerading as jurists in The Hague.

It's also fairly predictable that Belgrade will seek to sensationalize the proceedings by keeping it in the news.

On this point you are correct but apparently you have not been reading the international news. The world, especially the west is praising Kosovo for its courage and desire to clear the slate.
However, it will be forever known that Serbia was responsible for hiding some of the worst war crime figures for more than a decade. That can never be erased.
The thing about Serbia keeping it in the headlines is that you know it will finally put the organ harvesting myth to rest as just Serbian propaganda as it is going to continue to highlight that there is no credible evidence to support the outrageous claims.

Couldn't come at a worse time for Pristina.

This places its name in the newspaper in ways it would rather not have (beheadings, organ harvesting, gangland hits, etc).

Not exactly encouraging for businesses or additional recognitions.

It's also fairly predictable that Belgrade will seek to sensationalize the proceedings by keeping it in the news.

What is the point of trying to appease criminal Serbs by creating this court when Serbs have always disrespected and had no ackowledgement of it's legality?

If there are any conviction Serbs wouldn't accept The Hague so why is the International Community kissing Serb ass?

This is a waste of time and money.

That money can be better used to treat murdered victims such as orphans and rape victims in Kosova.
