Either that or Sulejami will eventually be cited for corruption like most other judges in Kosovo eventually do, and the kangaroo ruling will be overturned. In a way, Sulejami is kind of right an appeal can't be filed since the head of Kosovo's Appellate Courts was just arrested.

It's cute when officials like these play grown-up. They get a thrill for a few months until an adult has to step in and clean up the mess.

But you fail to mention that the land was confiscated by the Tito's Communists after WW2.

That land was originally given as endowment by the Monastery's founder.

It was returned in 1997 to its rightful owner.

The Republic of Serbia returned a part of the land which was nationalized illegally and without compensation in 1946 by Tito.

It included two parcels totalling 23.45 hectares in immediate proximity to the monastery

The other 700 hectares which were confiscated and illegally nationalized were never returned, but were rather distributed to local area residents who built houses on them.

Considering that this is farmland and contains no historical structures and also that the land was only given to the monastery in 1997 by the Serbian govt. It is doubtful it will be "viewed" by UNESCO at all. There is no historical or cultural heritage attached to this property at all.
I would have to know more to make a statement as to whether the ruling of the court was appropriate or not. According to the article it is not a contest between the monastery and local citizens but land that companies say they own.
On matters of land dispute UNESCO does not automatically side with a religious organization.

Few days ago, in Italy, a 17 years old guy has been slaughtered while tied to a cross. The reaason was a jealousy for a post on facebook: the murderer was a 20 years old albanian, who killed the Italian boy for JEALOUSY. This criminal has been helped by a friend and, when he got arrested, he was already planning his escape to Albania.
It is just one of the thousands of criminal acts committed by albanians in Italy: recently, after four robberies to some girls, an other albanian has been arrested. He beaten one of these girls who spent weeks in hospital and risked to become blind due to the brutal attack.
Hopefully the will soon know the "law of jail" (unfortunately Italian justice is too soft).
Anyway, this is the average albanian attitude. And with Decani, in Trepca, in Bezovica they are showing nothing else than being a large bunch of thieves. Monastery of Visoki Decani is a real treasure of the Orthodox Christianity ! Not only because it is dated 1348-50 but because it is one of the few places where Древо Иесcеево has survived. Out of 12 old churches where Jesus’ family tree is painted on the walls almost half are in Serbia. Those are Sopocani (1265) and Zhica (1220, renewed in 1316) monasteries and in St Ahillia in Arilje church (1296), Bogoridici v Leviski in Prizren (1310). Also Древо Иесcеево is still alive on the outside walls of Studenice Monastry and two Russian churches including Blagoveshensky Sobor of Moscow Kremlin. Outside Serbia and Russia there are only 5 more churches where the family tree of the Savior is exposed. They are the famous churches of St. Sophia (Trebizond), Saint Mary (Thessaloniki), in Kinzvisi and Safari (both Georgia), Saint Mary in Castoria (Greece). In Moscow Kremlin we have the real family tree of Jesus starting from David Rosteslavsky. The West would give much to destroy all those artefacts. So we must stand for each of the 12 mentioned churches and monasteries. They always belonged to the local Orthodox Churches while KIM is still the canon territory of the Serbian Church. And as far as I can judge no one is questioning it.

It quite could be for real because the Catholics were the main rivals of the “turks” since 16 century. But at least before the 18 century Turks never harmed Orthodox Churches because the Sultans themselves were Orthodox Christians. The first time they massacred Orthodox peoples was arly 19 century when Greeks and Armenians were terrorized. At the same time the Slav Janissaries as the main plot of the ruling class were also massacred and Britain stood behind it.

Exactly it matters not who lived on that land 500, 5000, 50,000 years ago the whole argument on here of who was here first is of no consequence. As in every nation of the world the people who are alive today determine the government, policies, and economics.

Don't really know what you mean by this, but doesn't matter. The point I tried to make was I do not speak Russian, nor read it nor any Cyrillic language, and studying it would not benefit me at all. Russian maybe one of the UN languages, I would hope that all 5 permanent members of the UNSC are represented in official, but I have yet to see a Russian speaking UN mission though. But this is an English version site, and I repeat if you want to direct something to me and really want me to read it, then you best post in English as I will not go through the effort to have it translated.

It quite could be for real because the Catholics were the main rivals of the “turks” since 16 century. But at least before the 18 century Turks never harmed Orthodox Churches because the Sultans themselves were Orthodox Christians. The first time they massacred Orthodox peoples was arly 19 century when Greeks and Armenians were terrorized. At the same time the Slav Janissaries as the main plot of the ruling class were also massacred and Britain stood behind it.

Exactly it matters not who lived on that land 500, 5000, 50,000 years ago the whole argument on here of who was here first is of no consequence. As in every nation of the world the people who are alive today determine the government, policies, and economics.
Greece one of the oldest civiliztions (to everyone except rote) is inhabitated today by mainly Greeks and they are the ones who are responsible for the economic and political mess they are in.
It is not the people 1000 years ago that get to decide today.
I did not know the information you presented about the land in conflict at or beside the monastery. I was not weighing on its validity but I still say it would not be an issue that UNESCO would even consider as it is land that has been in dispute for many years as you even attest to and it has no significant historical or cultural value.

Don't really know what you mean by this, but doesn't matter. The point I tried to make was I do not speak Russian, nor read it nor any Cyrillic language, and studying it would not benefit me at all. Russian maybe one of the UN languages, I would hope that all 5 permanent members of the UNSC are represented in official, but I have yet to see a Russian speaking UN mission though. But this is an English version site, and I repeat if you want to direct something to me and really want me to read it, then you best post in English as I will not go through the effort to have it translated.
It does not matter to me how much you post in Russian, I just skim over it. If I thought it were important I would have it translated, but that has not happened yet.
