What cynicism, those who burned down our churches, the oldest institutions in Kosovo-Metohija, now want to steal that too. The only things in Kosovo-Metohija that haven't been turned into complete shit and are actually worth something are Trepca, Gazivoda, Brezovica and the Serbian Christian Monasteries. And surprise, the Albanians not only own none of them, but want to steal all of them.

The US and Israel were powerless in trying to prevent Palestine from joining, so what power will Serbia have in trying to prevent Kosova from joining?

Serbia it's reacting wrongly.. Serbia should apologise for the genocide they did over Albania people in their home land. And build a good friendship. Politic need to be changed in Serbia. The politic should concentrate on the Serbian people and leave Kosovo people to build their future and country after the terror Serbs has showed!!!! But as far as history of Kosovo goes, I could care less. This is 2015 my concerns are the people who live on the land today. The rest is history, something you study in school and great for conversations.
Not Albanian so I really could care less about establishing the ancestral history. You (I suppose) live in Australia, I am sure you cannot place any historical evidence that Serbs inhabited Australia in the 1500's or before Christ etc., but yet the land you own in Australia is yours, and you have a right to vote, and determine your government and their actions just as every other Australian citizen. So do the people of Kosovo, whether Albanian or Serbian or Roma or Turkish or Chinese.
Australia was a British colony, before that it belonged to the indigenous people of Australia, they are the ones who have historical sites, so do you propose that you should surrender your home to the original owners??? As it is highly doubtful they ever received any compensation for your right to live there. Can you prove a difference in your right in Australia and any Albanian's right in Kosovo?

However, the mass exodus of Serbs began after WWII under Tito in order to appease the Albanian Communists. The population of Serbs was close to 40% in Kosovo, now it less than 6%, just who is committing Genocide on the Serbs in Kosovo?

Serbians did not come to the Balkans with there own writing system and of the 1000+ church's in Kosovo 200 odd are Serbian. If you look at some frescoes they depict the population wearing the plis. Even peja jovanovic painted the Serbian ( read orthodox population, not necessary Serbian) exodus from Kosovo wearing Albanian costumes.

Palestine joined with 107 votes, Kosovo has 108 formal recognitions and many who have not done so politically but have no reason to block their admission. So I say Serbia will have an uphill battle if they really want to expend any energy in this matter. But chances are this is only fodder for the masses and actually has no merit.

We have the same prob. even with Greeks - but Greeks in some way asked forgiveness and never deny what happened in south Albania.
All the migrations in Balkan after the VII are registered.
There is any kind of migration registered in Balkan, but even if it was one - how could the Albanians expel Serbs without any kind of resistance from Kosovo.
95 % of Kosovo population is Albanian. So is impossible!
Look a little how Serbian state try in organized manner - and with all the manners to expel the Albanians and they could not expel the native people from their land.

Wasn't my argument, as a matter of fact I do not recall the original post, my reaction was to your "show me proof" which is an impossibility to have you accept anything as proof. The thing that most comes to mind is your rant quite frequently that the reason that there is no proof of the organ harvesting is because the ICTY destroyed all the evidence. You still recite this week in and week out although everything that was destroyed which had no real connection or link to the alleged crimes were photographed and catalogued and that those would be just as useful as the items destroyed.
Or your statements on how Serbs in Kosovo live in ghettos surrounded by barbed wire. When on my travels through Kosovo which was quite extensive the only things I saw surrounded by barb wire were some patrimonial sites and abandoned buildings and of course military installations.

Yes masses of Serbs left Kosovo after 1244, some for fear of reprisals, some because they did not want to live with Albanians in control and some for fear they would have to face justice for the crimes they had committed, that's not what one would call Genocide.

Once again, read slowly this time. I am not interested in what the original conversation was about, I was reacting to your statement of "show me proof".
But as far as history of Kosovo goes, I could care less. This is 2015 my concerns are the people who live on the land today. The rest is history, something you study in school and great for conversations.
Not Albanian so I really could care less about establishing the ancestral history. You (I suppose) live in Australia, I am sure you cannot place any historical evidence that Serbs inhabited Australia in the 1500's or before Christ etc., but yet the land you own in Australia is yours, and you have a right to vote, and determine your government and their actions just as every other Australian citizen. So do the people of Kosovo, whether Albanian or Serbian or Roma or Turkish or Chinese.
Australia was a British colony, before that it belonged to the indigenous people of Australia, they are the ones who have historical sites, so do you propose that you should surrender your home to the original owners??? As it is highly doubtful they ever received any compensation for your right to live there. Can you prove a difference in your right in Australia and any Albanian's right in Kosovo?

Palestine joined with 107 votes, Kosovo has 108 formal recognitions and many who have not done so politically but have no reason to block their admission. So I say Serbia will have an uphill battle if they really want to expend any energy in this matter. But chances are this is only fodder for the masses and actually has no merit.

Serbians did not come to the Balkans with there own writing system and of the 1000+ church's in Kosovo 200 odd are Serbian. If you look at some frescoes they depict the population wearing the plis. Even peja jovanovic painted the Serbian ( read orthodox population, not necessary Serbian) exodus from Kosovo wearing Albanian costumes.
