Are you serious? An ultimatum against the RS is America's and the EU's view of what democracy is. How come Kosovo could not be integrated with Serbia? No ultimatum was given to Albanians in Kosovo who seek independence, BUT ITS OK BECAUSE THE SERBS ARE EVIL. This is all a joke. It is corruption on all sides. Let RS gain independence and then you can do as you please with the rest of Bosnia. I am tired of the hypocritical perspectives and comments. Bosnia is a failed state and the Dayton Agreement was written up by Westerners who do not understand the history of the Balkans. Lets change it.

This is something that has been anticipated by U.S. government long ago regarding Albanian population left out of borders of Albania and Kosovo. Same goes for Serbs and Croatians. Unfortunatley, the balkan borders have no alternative but to be redrawn. It is the only hope to bring peace and stability to balkan area since it is obvious they cannot coexist with different nationalities. Bosnia will open the door to Albania,Croatia, and Serbia to unite their own people within its borders. This time it will be through wars, but diplomacy I hope that's the case.

The Russians has no right to vote for freedom in Eastern Ukraine.
The Serbians has no right to vote for Freedom in Eastern Bosnia.

Nobody has right to - Bla-bla-bla - according to the US.

1) Serbs were bombed into submission by NATO, an illegal global act that also violated NATO's charter that states the purpose of NATO is to come to a member state's defense IF ATTACKED.

2) The Serb republic in Bosnia did not sign the racist Dayton Peace Accord; it was imposed on them.

3) Serbs have the same right as any other people in this world to the United Nations charter clause of self-determination, as they had exercised it in a 1991 referendum for the establishment of a Serb republic.

4) The Serb republic in Bosnia to this day is occupied by western Europe. The Dayton Peace Accord does not allow Serbs to make their own decisions without the approval of the nations that had bombed them into submission in 1995.

5) If the US Ambassador wants freedom in the Serb republic then let the Serb republic adopt the U.S. Constitution. The Serbs could show the U.S. how to vote for elected judges, just like sheriffs in the U.S.


6) FDR America's foreign service haven't allowed freedom in the Serb republic because that wouldn't allow the western tyrants to rule over the Serbs like the Ottoman Turks did for centuries. After a quarter century FDR Americans and western Europe continue to support WWII fascism of Croats, and to this day continues to support the racist Bosnian Muslim movement of Alija Izetbegovic whom was imprisoned for trying to create an Islamic state in Bosnia, and succeeded once Yugoslavia became a democracy in 1990.

The people has right for self determination. Outsiders "one world government " must stay out of there once for all. The shame less enemas again play with the fire from outside . The will be part of it unavoidable . The big enemas pursue their policy "me and I " for any price

Is fatty Dodik going to make his banana republic part Serbia. Smart serbs should know that this means lower living standards, higher taxes and eventually greek type default.

It will be a lot tougher to build another US army base if all entities separate. The only corruption here is from those who protest too much.

What is happening here is that the only side that want to stick to the original letter of the Dayton Agreement are Republika Srpska. Both Bosniaks and Croats feel Dayton is harmful for their national interests and RS is the one trying to preserve what was agreed upon without any further centralization.

There's no reason why Bosnia cant be a loose federation like Yugoslavia. If not, there's no reason why it should really exist at all.

Ah yes, the Dayton Accords the most beloved and hated document associated with Bosnia, a country no one wants but prefers to keep together to avoid anyone benefiting from its dissolution.

The audacity of the these American so called diplomats knows no bounds. So having forced 3 different peoples to forcibly share a non starter of a country they complain when one community wants to carry out a referendum.Perhaps the black community in the United States should undertake a referendum to exit the apartheid system they are locked into.

The whole reason that Kosovo could not be reintegrated into Serbia is simple that following the enactment of 1244, Serbia has done nothing, nada, zilch, to show that they would be ready to reintegrate Kosovo into Serbia with the Albanians there as free and equal citizens. Serbia has maintained their stance, even today that they want to land without any Albanians on it, or at most the Albanians could stay as long as they learn their place as an oppressed sect of Serbia without equal rights and subject to total SErbian dominance.
So yes the whole reason IS Serbs are evil and there will never be a Serbian controlled Kosovo again.

Without reading the entire Dayton Agreement neither I nor anyone else is in a position comment on whether this referendum violates it. I am assuming that the US believes that undermining state level institutions that Dayton created, by asking permission from the RS public to ignore their rulings, is dangerous and could lead to a substantive breach of Dayton rather than a potential one. Personally I would let Dodik fritter away taxpayers money on this charade and then ignore him and carry on as usual. The outcome will not be binding on anyone, anymore than the Greek referendum was on creditors. It is rhetoric and an attempt to deflect attention away from an ailing economy.
