Just a warning to any foolish Serbs who think Albania is a safe place to vacation - I mean if the Albanians do this to Czechs, who they don't have any major grudges against - imagine what they'd do to Serbs.
(ida, 4 July 2015 01:10)
My dear Ida,
Be sure that this delinquent don't represent the Albanian people.
He should not been out of prison because he is a delinquent who killed before one Albanian 12 years old child, he is a criminal, and criminals act the same everywhere.
We all feel so bad for what happened to this couple.
I met them in all the photos they did, in the same places where I was, the same photos that I did... I feel really bad, like they were member of my family...
It could be happen even to me...
I was in the same places...
Criminals have no nationality.

Again these Serbs are trying to get Kosovo.
Just GIVE IT UP.
#OverIt

Serbs want Kosovo, yet 99% of the country is not Serbian but Albanian (and for that matter 99% Islamic).

WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH IT? Honestly, does Serbia really want 2 million Albanians on its territory again?

ICJ ruled for the independence, UN ruled for independence.
More than half the world approves and recognizes it.

You people have ZERO brains.
Fighting for a battle lost by YOUR government (of then Yugoslavia).

Y'all lost Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro and now Kosovo- all because of your government's actions on each country (violently [primarily] and non-violently).

JUST GIVE IT UP.
Sorry, but someone has to call you all out.
It's getting DULL.

"He also "expressed his hope for getting a version of the resolution on Srebrenica which Serbia could accept," Tanjug quoted him as saying, and adding:"

Fellow readers, I'd ask you to learn how to read American-diplomatese: When Kirby says 'which Serbia could accept' and not 'which both sides could accept', he is telling you exactly whose side he is 'negotiating' for.

True negotiators aren't biased. Being a negotiator requires neutrality and perspective.

The US's primary interests in Serbia are in gaining economic power and decaying this fine country's ability to make independent decisions by insinuating itself into Serbian business, culture and law enforcement, thus making it inextricably bound to the success (or failure) of the US and its European efforts. No doubt it also seeks to weaken our ties with Russia, as well.

Ida,
I believe this will turn out to have been done by viscous Serbs, just the Panda Kafe incident at Pec in December of 1998. All the Albanians I have ever met had Besa, a word of honor, something not existing in the Serbian language or culture.

Thanks for a thoughtful reply.

The word "weary" is a good choice.

We'll see where it all leads, but I sense a shift in policy.

Count,

I am not Ari Gold. I am factman.

You are wrong and you will soon see that you are slowly but surely being abandoned.

The US said on Tuesday they would not block a Russian resolution to establish a UN Kosovo war crimes tribunal. They also warned Pristina. Merkel used the words compromise. Kirby used the words compromise. All this in one week's time.

My country, the USA, does not invest where they do not have ROI. There is no ROI in Kosovo. Sorry. Nothing personal. Just business.

You'll see soon. Signs already exist in the news.

PS: I sense you are young. And naive.

He is wrong. It only takes one to take Kosovo out of its constitution. This is all serbias problem. And it needs to follow its people who 63% say Kosovo is independent.

@factman
Compromise means one side does not get everything.

This is a notable development.

It supports the viewpoint that the West is abandoning this issue and doesn't really care as much anymore.

That means that the Balkans are going to have to learn to live with the Balkans and outside involvement is going to diminish.

It is pretty obvious for anyone who cares to open their eyes and read the news.

It was also predictable.

factman aka Ari Gold,

You are so transparent!

However, you are correct in saying "Compromise means one side does not get everything. " Serbia has not gain a thing and will end up getting nothing when negotiations finally end. Russia has effectively turned Serbia down and, thereby, have kicked Serbia in the nuts. Russia is broke, they couldn't even bailout Serbia's slacker friend, Greece. As a matter of fact, the US company Apple is worth more than Russia, Greece and Serbia together.

The US is expanding Camp Bondsteel, if you haven't heard, but I guess to you it means: "the West is abandoning this issue and doesn't really care as much anymore."

It is pretty obvious for anyone who cares to open their eyes and read the news.

This is now the second statement in a week by the great powers using the word "compromise"

Compromise means one side does not get everything.
Factman

Actually if you look over the last 6 months you can probably count a 1000 times that someone from the "great powers" has used the term compromise, so it really does not mean anything more this week than before.
But they are growing weary and no one is going to advance anything until some compromise is reached.
It does not mean that Serbia must give up Gavizode or at least without compensation, it does not mean that Serbia HAS to agree to a calling code for Kosovo, nor does it mean that Kosovo has to work with Telekom Serbia. A community of Serbs will have to be established but its powers are not already determined,
those are compromises where each side will have to work out, does not mean they will be 50/50 either.
But diplomatic recognition of Kosovo by more than half the world countries has already happened despite Serbian efforts and so have multiple organization recognitions.
Those are NOT compromises on the table.
But you are right the Balkan people are going to have to learn to live WITH each other, and that is not going to happen with any one group trying to establish superiority.
