Italian PM regrets Hungary's decision to build wall

Italian PM Matteo Renzi has expressed regret over Hungary's announcement it will build a wall on the border with Serbia due to the increased influx of migrants.

Perhaps on reflection the Hungarians are working both in Hungary's & Serbia's interest - if such a wall is built then Serbia can say any illegal migrants found in Hungary did not come through Serbia and they can be sent back to firstly Romania and then Bulgaria - the EU entry point!

That said the best wall Hungary could build is one built jointly with Serbia and on another border - the one with Serbia and FYROM - all 221Km of its UN recognised southern border. Serbia can step up patrols with Bulgarian Border and this would alleviate the pressure on Serbia and Hungary. It will also hasten a regional conference to resolve jointly.
