Exactly my point Peggy, Australia (which is considered part of the west even though it lies in the East) along with Europe, US, and Canada have all given you and your extended family and hundreds of thousands other Serbs a chance at a great life. You have no such success stories even a fraction of these Serbs who have achieved such in Russia but yet you want to drive what you profess to be your kindred toward that which you have not and would not choose for yourself.
Your claims of Russian support for Serbian people, what support is that other than they will not support any status for Kosovo in the UNSC. They were just as responsible for the dissection of Kosovo from Serbian control through resolution 1244. They had the opportunity to veto the resolution and instead of being like China and abstaining they voted in favor of it. When NATO began their bombing campaign, Russia withdrew its forces, Russia had members of the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo and withdrew them. Russia voted in favor of the EULEX assuming control over the police and justice instead of UNMIK. Russia has been unable or did not try to block Kosovo's acceptance into the WB of IMF, or the IOC. It is Russia that pulled the South Stream from Serbia's grasp. It is Russia that has said it is up to European countries to develop a way to get gas from the Turkish stream, beyond Greece.

Yes you have offered "an explanation" many times but it is all Bs with a capital B,
===========================
BS? According to you only and who do you think you are, some all seeing and all knowing God? I never said I hate Australia. Australia is my home but that deosn't mean that I agree with everthing our government here decides. I am entitled to be critical and put my opinion out there. It also means that I do no have to leave my home because I don't agree with my government 100%. What idiot would do that? It just means that I can and do write to me MP and express my concerns. Having a sizable family here there is no way I would leave them all behind just to prove something to you. If you think that I should then you are more arrogant than I thought.
Now be sensible and stop saying such silly things.
If we all left our homes because of something we disagree with our government about we would be constantly on the move. REMEMBER THAT.

The below title explains much in Skanderbeg’s behavior :

“Полный титул Владислава III Варнского : Владислав Божьей милостью король Польши, Венгрии, Далмации , Хорватии, Рашки, Болгарии, Славонии, земли краковской, сандомирской, ленчицкой, серадзской, Куявии, верховный князь литовский, поморский и русский, господин и наследник и протчая”

Dear Serbs please improve your version of Wikipedia (Владислав III Јагелонац) because the list of his titles is the shortest and thus the worst missing Balkan “Рашки, Болгарии, Славонии,” and very important “и протчая” = “and others”. Looks like G17 or Otpor guys wrote this article as it also hides the main titles of the 3 traditional Russian lands “верховный князь литовский, поморский и русский”. Also "Russieque" in the Latin version is better than the English “Ruthenia” and Serbian “Рутеније”. Formally both are correct as they mean Russia but not everybody can understand them today. Plus it must be mentioned that Vladislav was also “господин и наследник” i.e. “the owner and the heir” of all those lands! Don’t you find that Vladi Slav was the best name for such a man and rather a strange for a Hungarian? So it was quite natural that Skanderbeg (if he ever existed) joined his Slav king as soon as he could. In 15-th century in Russia they had other names and were titled as the Great Khan or Great Kahan or Great Kniaz.

rote

pre 8 godina

More fuel about Skandrbeg. In addition to what I already said about his Slav parents, wife and children I’ve found other strange places in the stories we are told. They tell us tales that look an exaggeration for one man :

1/ “mighty Albanian senior”

2/ “honorary citizen of Venice”

3/ in his childhood “was given as a hostage to Sultan Murad II”

4/ in Turkey accepted Islam

5/ made a career of an officer in the Osman army

6/ for his bravery Turks called him Alexander (Iskander)

7/ in November 1443 deserted from the Osmans and flew home to rebel against them

8/ with his 300 buffalo soldiers joined the Poles and Hungarians under the king Vladislav III. Near Varna this last Crusader War ended as tragic as all the previous ones.

9/ Albanians called him Prince of Kastrioti and leader of all the Albanians.

10/ soon he defeated Murad II near Black Drina and also forced him to stop the siege of Kruje town.

11/ with his small troop he launched partisan movement

12/ signed a pact with Venetia in 1444

13/ defeated the Osmans again in 1449 and in 1451

15/ in 1461 Mehmet II acknowledged him as governor of Albania

16/ in 1663 got the title of Duke of San Pietro

17/ in 1463 violated the pact with the Osmans and attacked them again

18/ in 1468 died of malaria before Mehmet II launched his war

I FIND IT ALL RATHER FUNNY AND I CAN EXPLAIN WHY IF ONLY THE ALBANIANS ASK ME TO ...

All Albanians together failed even to make a page for his father in Wikipedia or elsewhere. So how are you going to prove that Skanderbeg was one of you ?
(rote, 13 June 2015 16:48)

That's easy - they just need to follow your advice! By creating a Wikipedia page - it takes 5 minutes and we can make not just Skanderbeg, but even you an Albanian since your stadard of evidence is something written in a wikipedia page...

I have to admit though that it is useful having people like you write in these forums so that people can see the direct evidence of what brainwashing means!

rote

For my dear poor commenters I have to reveal other unpleasant things. As you know in 1453 the Horde under Mehmet II seized Constantinople. The Emperor was killed during this 53 day battle. But before that when it was already that the capitol of the world will fall Patriarch of Byzantium flew to Europe that was a colony of Byzantium. It was someone Tommaso Parentucelli who later became known as Pope Nicholas V. This man established the Pontificate and became the First Pope. After him most of the Popes were for real but all the previous ones were fakes. And if you see their faces in Wikipedia you will doubt that they were not Xerox printed. Nicholas V like four next Popes was a Russian and belonged to the famous Komnin Dynasty known in Russia as Rurik Dynasty. On one side of Tiber River there was a small town later called Rome where the refugees were not let in. So Nicolas bought malaria lands on the other swamp bank where old headquarters of Bati Khan had been deployed. Now this place is known as Vatican. Nicolas stole from Constantinople and brought here greater part of the gold of the Empire and priceless 834 books of the history of the Empire. He kept them in the “secret garden” before the new buildings were ready for the gold and the books.

"In their opinion, the resolution could also represent "a kind of pressure on Serbia, especially in light of the continuing process of solving the Kosovo issue"

I'm perplexed... Serbia has said that it had nothing to do with the genocide (as determined by the UN) committed in Srebrenica so why is Serbia concerned about a resolution that has nothing to do with Serbia and what does that have to do with Kosovo?! Only Serbian diplomats could come up with such nonsense...

“you need professional help.” (Haitian)

It’s exactly what I think sometimes after your comments. But to tell the truth in my travels to the history there’s always some element of sadism. I really like to tell things that people hate to hear because they destroy their already formed system of values. See how they vote in panic after I told them that Coliseum was built 163 years ago ! There were times when I went through it myself. Yet when I say something non-traditional about our joint past it unites Serbs and Albanians for a while. But because none of them have any real arguments most often they simply give me their poor comments to finish without starting. But because you teased me here’s a special question for you.

As you know Георгий Иванович also known as Skanderbeg is national hero of all the Albanians including those in Haiti. What makes you think that Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu was an Albanian ? His father Ivan (Gjion) mother Воислава gave Slav names to all their 4 sons and 5 daughters. All Albanians together failed even to make a page for his father in Wikipedia or elsewhere. So how are you going to prove that Skanderbeg was one of you ? I personally believe that it may be one of the reflections of famous Tamerlane as Skanderbeg is composed of two his names - Iskander (Iskander-ul-Ahad) and Bek. Also Kastrioti and Arianiti(mother)second names sounds rather Alanian/Sarmatian than Albanian.

Better tell me about at least one building in Rome that is older than 500 years. Only don’t mention the Coliseum as it was the idea of Benedict XIV (1740-1758) of a monument to the Christian Saints but after him PIO.IIV. (1800-1823) changed the idea for what we see now. Fresca in Vatican (dated 1807) openly shows that Coliseum was projected as “ancient” ruins while Christian Angel with a divider blessed the “antic” pagan constructers.

It is not the same. You are not being persecuted you are afforded every right and every protection as any other Australian. You have the right to work, whether you do or not I do not know. You have the right to health care and you have the right to send your children to school. You are allowed to elect your government officials, you are protected from being thrown in the street and your house burned. When was the last time the police broke into your house and raped you or your daughter in front of you. When in Australia have you been arrested or denied service simply because you are Serbian?
But yet you spit on the government that affords you those protections and tell Serbia to stay away from them.

Now that is not the life that the Kosovo Albanians enjoyed is it?? If you say yes you are lying.
We are talking about you leaving your home because you do not like the government or your country men not because they do not like you! Even with your personal beliefs.

Let Putin veto it, his attempt to rewrite history is to be expected. However, there will be repercussions for Russia and its people. Putin is scrambling to keep his country from going from a former world power to a bankrupt pariah as Serbia was recently. Instead, Putin should put Russia in the back of the queue, behind Serbia, to join the EU. I'm sure the EU will make an exception and consider an Asian country for membership.

What you said must go as a matter of fact but we have a problem called the government of Serbia. Looks like they got annoyed of the Russian support. They need it only for blackmail and for raising the stakes but not for defending Serbia’s interests. Openly they say some things and de facto they sometimes behave like prostitutes or like a Trojan Horse. Like it was during the South Stream and now about the Turkish one. Because of Ukraine this winter will be very cold on Balkans and when the snow melts next spring we shall see who and where shit down.

Yes you have offered "an explanation" many times but it is all Bs with a capital B, the bottom line is the west has afforded you with a good life with opportunities for you and the future of your family and you do not want to give that up for the desolate life you would live in the very place you want to push your countrymen.
