The 150 kilometer-long gas interconnection between Bulgaria and Serbia is to be completed by 2018 so that gas could start flowing in 2019.

What's the sence connecting two empty pipes if the Ukrainian transit is interrupted ? Last winter was very warm in Ukraine. Yet they have no reserves for the winter to come. As well as the money required to buy some gas. because their economy has almost stopped. So I expect big problems with transit this winter. To say nothing that the whole system is too old and needs big investments.
