Region "needs money, not seminars" from EU - PM

The region needs seminars from the EU, not money, as the saying goes:

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

The EU needs to teach the Balkans "how to fish".

More than money, the region needs to stop living in the past and I don't think the leaders understand the concept of working for a better future.

What a waste of money and time.

Fools EU is no panacea. What has Croatia got out of it, it is the same as it puts in over 400 million euros a year. The price dose not even include another layer of very expensive EU bureaucracy choking the country.

When Mr. Vucic and the regional leaders grow up and start behaving like adults, when they quit their corrupt ways, when they allow the press to publish freely, when they tone down their nationalistic rhetoric and when they learn a thing or two about economics then maybe the EU will start pumping in more money.
