We both compare Russia’s capacities only with the US ones.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

I don't think either you or me compares Russia with US. I compare US with China; Russia is just a regional power similar to, say, Brazil. You humiliate Russia even more by comparing it to Albania (see your reply below to The Count of Kosova on 2 June 2015 09:07).
----------

USA is not weak
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Oh, I see... Then please make sure to tell that to the most patriotic of Serbs who appear to think otherswise!
----------

but they are not strong enough to impose their will on us.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

What does "impose their will on" you even mean?!
----------

We can effectively resist them in any sphere and we can cover our friends as well.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Resist on what?! And which friends are you referring to mate?!
---------

So if we come to the Pristina airport next time we shall stay there.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Yeah, blame Vlad about that. Boris was courageous enough to stand up to NATO in the Pristina airport when Russia was weak, whereas Vlad withdrew when Russia was strong!
----------

Serbs are white crows on the Balkans because they do not suck yet and they still have some national dignity.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

So, sucking to Russia is more tasteful?!

This is why you hate them. EU membership will deprive them maneuver to help you legalize the robbed lands.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

That's legalized already under international law, thanks to a certain Vuk. Whether Serbia joins the EU or not, is immaterial to the status of Kosovo. It's not that Serbia will be given Kosovo back if it does not join the EU!
----------

This is why you wish them such membership.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

By, "you", you mean "Serbs"? As for Kosovo, it is better that Serbia does not become an EU member. That would give Serbia the ability to block Kosovo's membership in the EU, like Greece is doing with FYROM.
----------

Last 200-300 years Balkan people lived more or less good only under the Communists. Those were different regimes with different life levels but they provided peace and increasing welfare.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Balkan people disagree, so what you say it's totally irrelevant.
----------

You don’t know how to live in a strong and moral country like Russia.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

What does that even mean? "Strong" and "moral" for me means a good life and not being at the mercy of the government.
----------

You don’t know how proud we are and how freely we breath.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Proud and free of not having control over your life?! Of not having a say on who governs you and how you are governed?! Mate, that is called slavery...

1/ “By this winter Russia will be a disaster zone! Within two years Putin will be put on trial in Russia for corruption, among other serious crimes.”

You know Pussy that many more powerful and educated people had predicted similar things but none of the oracles proved to be right. So let’s wait and see what will happen within a year and how you will be heating your house. What I mean is that the Balkan peoples always gained of strong Russia and always lost when we were weak. So your dreams have no logical basis for any optimism. The West needs you only when you have a chance to run somewhere otherwise you become their slave. Tell me when it was different with them ?

Yes we have lots of problems but most states can only dream of such problems. Say our foreign trade was only USD 16,7 Bln. proficient this April. What about KIM or Albania ? We have only 1850 nukes now carried on submarines, planes and missiles. What about you ? Our main export items ( like your heroin) are not regulated by WTO. We enjoy national unity unlike many others. Our Rosatom has orders for USD 150 bln. already and our arms sales make 90% of that of the USA. We shall soon swallow all our Ukrainian lands. Ect.

2/ “Very soon you, rote, will move back to grandmother's house for shelter”

Even if so I’ll move in my BMW 530d car that I bought last year. Also I am to buy an apartment for my schoolgirl daughter almost in the center of Moscow this summer.

Last 200-300 years Balkan people lived more or less good only under the Communists. Those were different regimes with different life levels but they provided peace and increasing welfare. Now the USA ( like the fascists did ) add fuel to the already existing contradictions and rule the region the way they like it. Hey mate, not sure what your rambling means and how it was related to what I wrote.

I asked a very simple question... How comes that the USA controls all international organizations, except one when according to the most patriotic of Russians and Serbs, it is Russia that is the most powerful country and the leader of the world! Which world does that refer to? Mars?!

Again I don't care whether America is powerful or not. The only thing I'm trying to clarify is which propaganda is correct. USA can't be powerful and non-powerful at the same time :)

I gave a couple of LIKES these days. One when you explained Michael that he was a dreamer anti- globalist. But here you are back to what you are. I could understand you if you were an American whose military potential is now questioned by Russia. But you represent here a spot on the map. A spot that can be easily turned into dust. So I wonder why should you expose your complex of inferiority here ? We both know that Albanians are helpless pushers against us so please behave when you go outside. You always retranslate BBC/CNN/FOX mantras about Putler , about the lack of democracy in Russia and other BS but don’t be a clown talking about how weak Russia is. Best if you tell us what you think about appointment of Saakashvili the Governor of Odessa , about the hysteria over the 89 sanctioned Europeans or the approaching war in Transdniestria or the bankruptcy of the fascist regime in Kiev or how will you meet this winter when Ukrainian transit is stopped or about Soros-Poroshenko letters published by Cyber Bercut or anything else that really matters. Russia is a sieged fort so we behave appropriate.

To those new states whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom--and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside.

Michael, If Serbia is to be an old-school economy producing old world products, then OK. But I would imagine that Serbia and its educated talent pool aspires to more. Michael Thomas

You are wrong, Rote, Russia is occupied by the same banking mafia that controls Serbia and most of the rest of the world. Of course Russia could create Roubles out of thin air just like China now creates Yuan. In Russia, President Putin is not allowed to create money free, he must borrow it from private banks which create money (or more accurately credit) for free and then lends it at interest. This is how the rulers of the world rule. The Chinese refuse to succumb to this banker thievery but Russia, for the moment, continues to play the bankers’ game. I never said that Serbia could produce everything it needed or that it could buy imports using Dinars. Serbia exports foods, clothes, and manufactured items and earns foreign exchange from these transactions. It will use this money to buy the technology it doesn’t produce itself. But the key point is that all the things that can be bought in Serbia (including labour) should be paid for in Central Bank created Dinars and not bank loans. Serbia makes trucks, bulldozers, and asphalt. It even has its own crude oil and refineries for making diesel. It doesn’t need imports of any western or Russian technology to repair and build roads. Solar water heaters are made from copper tubes and a small electric pump. Serbia has Europe’s biggest copper mines and can make small water pumps.

You’re a dreamer. Even Russia with much bigger economy cannot behave the way you offer. Because you have to buy from abroad concrete mixing plants and energy to make them work, components for the expensive solar batteries, mobiles and TV sets for the workers. Even if we trade with national currencies imported components in our products are too big to dream of what you say. I hate Bretton Wood system more than you can imagine but it cannot be killed that easy. Especially when the Yankees draft “all the king’s men” worldwide. See how leaders of the states one after another betray their national interests. Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Ukraine, Moldova and finally Serbia. In Europe there are only two opinions remained – the American and the wrong one. Who will be realizing your dreams ? Will it be Dacic, Vucic, Tadic or the pensioner President ? Last words about “diversification of the gas supplies” can be either total surrender/treason or a tactical step back. let’s wait and see. If it is something that I am afraid of then you may forget about any industry because Serbia will soon be turned into an agricultural state. It will save some energy like it already happened to Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Montenegro, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine ect.

The key difference between the Dinar and the US Dollar is that the Dinar can’t be used to buy Saudi oil or Russian gas. The US Dollar, which American can freely create, can be used for both and for much more and it is this fact alone that makes America the world power it is today.

The Dinar is good for trade within Serbia. The building of Djerdap 3 will be done mostly by Serbian workers moving vast quantities of earth and replacing it with vast quantities of Serbian-produced concrete; all paid for in Dinars. Special financing for Russian turbines will need to be agreed.

In the NATO-West this sort of Central Bank activity is called “Quantitative Easing” and is done every day. Some of the usual suspects who haunt this site will scream “Inflation.” But these people are economic illiterates; infrastructure investment rarely, if ever, causes inflation.

Solar water heating systems are cheap and easy to build and they should already be common-place on Serbian roof-tops. Solar PV is more sophisticated and will need Serbian government investment. Serbia would be wise to buy cheap Chinese PV systems and use its government created Dinars to repair roads, bridges, schools and hospitals.

rote

Michael Thomas

Michael you always sound reasonable but this time you contradict yourself because the short list of what must be done to save energy will cost so much money that Serbia cannot afford. Because to save money you must spend lots of money. All states have to move in that direction and it takes not only money but lot of time as well. Serbia has none of the two components because in 2019 Gazprom promises black out to Ukraine’s transit. Meanwhile Azerbaijan can replace only 10 out of 63 bln. cubic meters because 6 bln. will remain in Turkey. Turkmenistan is switched out of the process because of the Caspian Sea problems while Iran will merely add gas to the pipe because of the multiple problems with the West and the gas competition with Azerbaijan. So only cheap Russian or expensive American gas will be available in 3-4 years. This is why I can see no problems why Turkish Stream won’t be realized despite NATO ultimatums. Serbia today is in the focus of the Russian mass media. Everybody tries to analyze the last statements of Vucic. He is to spend in the USA a whole week during which they say he will be pressed further on. Seems that Macedonian scenario can be expected in Serbia too after the Albanians did their job. Both states already stepped back but things may change this winter because Ukraine has no money to buy at least 18 bln. m3 for the winter.

You guys got it all wrong.

First, the article says that Serbia plans to reduce dependency. That doesnt mean it scraps backing for the Russian plan or panders to the West as this article alludes. Every country has the right to energy security (wherever it comes from).

Second, the US plan is just a plan. It still needs to be financed and completed. Remember, this is an outgoing administration. A lame duck who needs to build and keep a coalition in line: Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Albania. Must we be reminded of the various plans proposed by Washington that fell through?

Third, a lot of things can still happen in the Caucus region and elsewhere. One crisis anywhere in the world means that the US loses focus. But for Putin he wont lose focus. He will remain dogged.Every action by the West has a counter action by the East. There has been no serious analysis if the TAP line has enough capacity for everyone who wants a piece.

Fourth. Obviously something else was promised by Biden. If I were Albaninian, I'd begin to wonder what was said at that meeting. Think about it.I doubt highly that Vucic was threatened. There is little the US can threaten Serbia with. It needds Serbia to join NATO and to guarantee pece in Bosnia and to be a stable force in the Balkans. You dont get that by threatening them.

Fifth, People say a lot of things just to get others off their backs.

Better would be if Serbia would reduce dependency on gas at all, i.e. saving energy instead of wasting it, especially in the housing heating sector. I cannot understand that even new buildings and apartments don't have appropriate insulation, and people still tend to regulate the temperature in winter by opening and closing the window instead of turning down the heating because energy is too cheap and buildings lack of individual heat consumption measurement for the apartments.

Comm. Parrisson is right, Serbia should be doing more to conserve energy and use its bountiful renewable energy. Most Serbs heat water using inefficient electric heaters. Serbia has one of the best solar potential in Europe and every household could heat water using solar power. Serbia should also build the long-planned Djerdap 3 hydro-electric power station. Djerdap 3 would double Serbian electricity production and virtually make Serbia energy independent. Efforts to conserve energy through better home insulation should also be pursued. With these developments Serbia wouldn't need Russian gas or American hot air. It could also opt out of becoming a transit country for rival pipeline, that will only cause them trouble. Let gas pipelines go through EU countries Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. If Serbia needs gas in the future, then it can tap into this pipeline.

It's in the best interest of all countries to have multiple sources of energy that can compete for best price and service.

The words of JFK are apt:

To those new states whom we welcome to the ranks of the free, we pledge our word that one form of colonial control shall not have passed away merely to be replaced by a far more iron tyranny. We shall not always expect to find them supporting our view. But we shall always hope to find them strongly supporting their own freedom--and to remember that, in the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger ended up inside.

Mentally all Balkan peoples are very close to Russia but your brains were washed by the occupation regime and this is why you all bark at Russia and our allies in the region.
(rote, 2 June 2015 08:35)

Mate, it's hard to find something where Russia is a model for other people to aspire to. That's Russia's fault, not the fault of others or some conspiracy!

Russia will shortly be a crushed fort, militarily. It is already an economic basket case. By this winter Russia will be a disaster zone! Within two years Putin will be put on trial in Russia for corruption, among other serious crimes.
Very soon you, rote, will move back to grandmother's house for shelter, eating road kill and drinking out of the toilet bowl, provided you have one.

Why so mean?

We both compare Russia’s capacities only with the US ones. USA is not weak but they are not strong enough to impose their will on us. We can effectively resist them in any sphere and we can cover our friends as well. So if we come to the Pristina airport next time we shall stay there. Serbs are white crows on the Balkans because they do not suck yet and they still have some national dignity. This is why you hate them. EU membership will deprive them maneuver to help you legalize the robbed lands. This is why you wish them such membership. As for Michael we both wrote him almost the same things and you can check it. I don’t hate the Albanians though we are in different trenches now. In a way you too are victims of the EUSA’s politics. Last 200-300 years Balkan people lived more or less good only under the Communists. Those were different regimes with different life levels but they provided peace and increasing welfare. Now the USA ( like the fascists did ) add fuel to the already existing contradictions and rule the region the way they like it. And Albanians everywhere are their chain dogs so they bark here and so they attack Macedonia and they threaten other states. You don’t know how to live in a strong and moral country like Russia. You don’t know how proud we are and how freely we breath. Mentally all Balkan peoples are very close to Russia but your brains were washed by the occupation regime and this is why you all bark at Russia and our allies in the region.

The C*unt of Kosova

Serbs are white crows on the Balkans because they do not suck yet and they still have some national dignity.

So, sucking to Russia is more tasteful?!
